Devanshi's Pov:
Getting up in the morning, I went to the living room. Maa sa and Baaba sa came. I touched their feet and We all chatted for a while.
Today was Karwa Chauth and my parents were invited too.
Sometime later, Mom and Dad came and I not having any other excuse just pulled my veil lower to hide my face. Greeting them by touching their feet I left for my room. I didn't want to come out for any unnecessary reason.
I saw everyone looking at me confused as why did I cover my face, but I wasn't in the mood to explain.
Entering my room I called Akshu,
Akshu: "Hello Dii."
D: "Why didn't you come along?"
Akshu: "I had my internship and a company in Mumbai to manage in your absence."
D: "Thank you so much."
Akshu: "No need to thank me."
We spoke for a while and I entered my study for revision.
After some time, I came to the balcony and gazed at the garden below.
This garden reminded me of our wedding night, my foolishness. How much wrong I thought of him!
There was a knock on the door, saying "come in". I looked, it was Mom.
D: " Come inside, Maa."
Mom: "How are you?"
D: "I'm fine. How are you?"
Mom: "Good. Umm... Gudiya, why did you leave while Jamaisa was in hospital?"
D: "Maa, that's our personal matter"
Mom: "That's not your personal matter. Do you even know how humiliated we were? How hurt your father was? Can't you once think about him? He raised questions on my upbringing."
D: "Maa I don't live to impress. Please, I need to stay alone for a while."
Mom: "I'm not free to talk to you anytime you want. You need to explain it clearly."
My tears threatened to fall. This was How my mom was, sometimes supported me and other times Papa.
"Bhabhisa, I need to talk to you alone." Gaurav said entering the room without knocking.
Mom: "I'll leave Betaji."
They didn't know about Gaurav and Akshu Or else they won't be so polite.
As she left a lone tear fell from my eyes but I wiped before Devarsa could see.
Gaurav: "Bhabhisa, Are you okay?"
D: "Yes I'm. Come what do you wanna say?"
Gaurav: "Nothing I just overheard your conversation. I didn't mean to, but I happened to pass by, so just heard it."
