VEDANSH'S POV:

All of us left the terrace, to proceed to respective rooms. But I searched for my phone, and I guess I left it on the couch. I stepped back to take it and unwillingly heard Devanshi and Vihaan's conversation. I didn't like that guy, listening to everyone's comments about them made me fume but Devi's words did some healing work. Knowing that she never liked anyone because her parents didn't want her to, I also felt that if a girl who is this loving and loyal to her parents, how much of a wonderful partner will she make.

I shouldn't be thinking about her like this, I did have something for her but I don't know what. It's confusing. I cannot trust her, not completely. It was hard to believe that she was so successful without any help. On top of that, Vikrant Mehra's warning. It was all messed up.

Devanshi asked him to leave, as she wanted to be alone. After he left, I entered the terrace and looked at her gazing at the sky, this girl definitely had something for night sky.

Clearing my throat and grabbed her attention, taking my phone from the couch I looked in her direction. She was looking at me silently, her eyes questioned my purpose of being here, but seeing me take my self phone understood.
"Are you always this quiet?" I questioned her silence as she spoke to me least.

Turning her back to me she answered "Depends on the company."

"Are you indicating I am a bad company?"I asked her mischievously.

" Not my words though." She replied and I leaned on the railing staring at her face, supporting my back with the railing.

She looked in my direction and asked "why are you doing this?"

"What?"

"You know, what am talking about. This marriage, the engagement everything." Devanshi said furrowing her brows trying to make me understand.

I understood where this conversation was heading to" I want to keep you with me. " I replied honestly. It was half a truth.

"Do you take me as a fool, Mr.Suryavanshi?"

"No, you are one of the smartest women I've seen."

"Don't you divert the conversation. I know about Vikrant Mehra. I know about the accident your father went through the same day we met. You just told half of your conversation that day. No one would be begging for a stranger's forgiveness, why would you care when you doubted me. And I even know about the guy you threatened so that he won't propose me. Now will you please tell the truth. If you want a fight, let's have a just one. " She spoke everything seriously and demanded to know the truth.

I chuckled a bit at her observations, she was indeed a practical yet emotional girl. Amusing!
"As you know everything, why don't you find the rest yourself?" I asked her playfully testing her patience.

She just glared at me and I answered, not wanting to piss her off.
"I believe keeping my enemies closer. Ms.Rao."

"But that doesn't mean you marry her, and what's the proof am involved. You'll spoil my life on basis of mere doubt."

"No, I won't spoil your life on mere doubt. It's just I don't know. I knew your father wants to marry you off and the thought of you being with someone didn't settle with me. And about the forgiveness, again I don't know. I am not aware of my actions around you. I try to be aware but I feel a pull towards you. The pull, which wants me to just keep you for myself protected. While my sane mind screams doubt, my heart yells to trust you. That's what I am doing. I don't know the reason but I want you by my side." I spoke about my confusion, my doubt, my feelings without any hesitation staring into her eyes. Told you they are hypnotic.
