Chu was following Da Qing's signal to the same building he knew from before. He could see the upgrades, cameras, electric entrance doors and men running along the glass windowed corridors. What has Da Qing done to cause such trouble and Chu stayed where he was, observing before he would call Yunlan.
It was obvious that they were searching for someone as they went from room to room, and then disappeared out of his line of sight. If Yunlan was correct and they wanted Black Robe to appear by torturing Shen Wei, then this search was just for show. The amount of technology in that building alone, would make it impossible for anyone to hide, this boss was playing with people's lives, he could stop them whenever he wanted. Chu phoned the office and reported back to Yunlan to explain what he had found.
"Chu, where are you and Da Qing?" Yunlan asked.
"Are you on speaker phone just now before I tell you?" Chu asked.
"No, do you want me to..."
"No, definitely not, I have to explain Da Qing's condition first, remember in the office when Shen Wei repaired some weak points in Da Qing's brain because of age, well he can transform now."
"Explain but make it quick." Yunlan was beginning to wonder what else he didn't know about hisstaff.
"Da Qing's a cat."
"You're serious, you're not joking, because I'll fire you if you are. Da Qing is a walking talking cat?"
"Yes, Lin Jing thought he was a stray but I told him he was mine."
"Alright, I can take a joke but not right now, if he's human when he returns, you're fired. Now why else did you phone?"
"We've found the building that Shen Wei might be in, but it has been brought up to date and is impossible to hide in. The technology is very advanced, can Lin Jing do anything about it. I've put a tracker on,.. the cat's collar and he's here."
"Lin Jing, can you follow a tracker and find Da Qing?"
"Sure boss, I'll give it a go."
"OK Chu explain while Lin Jing is busy and I still have patience."
"Da Qing is from the cat tribe on our world and he can transform into a cat but hasn't been able to for a long time because he's old, but even when he did years ago, the last time he couldn't transform back very easily, sometimes he was stuck as a cat for days. It seems like he still has that problem and just now he's stuck on four legs."
Yunlan just listened, he now has a talking cat as part of his team.
