Chapter 6

Shuichi's POV
He looks so.. tired. I hope he is getting enough rest. 
"Ouma.. how has your stay been so far.?" I said, shuffling between my feet. It took a while for him to respond, but when he did, it had cracks, making it clear Ouma in-game and him here are different. I pray it's the good kind.
"Boring..But better now that you're here hehe!" He giggled, but his arms trembled at the force that he forced himself to stay standing(?).
"Ouma, you can sit down in your wheelchair, I won't judge you," I said, gently prying him and setting him down on his chair. When he was sitting, it was clear he wasn't too fond of the decision.
"If you say so.." He stares off to the side, not knowing what to say next. It was awkward silence for a bit..
"Oh! Ouma,  when are you supposed to leave the hospital?" I asked, but it was clear from his face he didn't know either.
"Ah! It's fine if you don't know! I would just want to see you off when you leave!" I stuttered out.
"Oh? My dear Saihara wishes to see me go? Are you sure you won't cling onto my legs and beg me not to leave?" He said, a poor remake of his mischievous smirk playing on his face.
"I definitely won't do.. that.. But I do care for you Ouma!" I said, and his cheeks turned pink. It was clear he didn't expect that. He awkwardly shifted into his seat, not knowing what to do next.
"Ouma, do you wish to have lunch with me and the others?" And he shut that down quickly.
"I can have lunch with you in your room with you then," I said, a gentle smile on my face.
"Wouldn't your boring friends miss you?"
"Well I have breakfast and dinner with them, I think they'll manage, and plus, I want to spend time with you," I said, setting my hand atop of his.
"I-if you're so insistent then fine!" He said, turning.
Mikan soon came and said it was time for bed, rolling Ouma away and only a promise of lunch together tomorrow sits between the two of them.
