Chapter 99

Y/n's POV

A week flew by as we continued training under Endeavor and his sidekicks. I spent most of my days doing quick response training with the sidekicks before heading out to do patrols with papa and the others. Most nights after doing patrols with the others, I easily fell asleep once I laid down on the bed they gave me in the Endeavor agencies dorm area. We were out late one night and I heard someone start running. I turned around and started rushing towards the sound. I potted someone running towards us in a mask and carrying a briefcase as I heard someone shouting about calling heroes. As I reached out to grab the villain to take him down, Endeavor appeared in front of me and knocked him out with a knee to the gut. "How'd they get ahead of us?" Kacchan asked.

"We're the ones that responded first." Shoto said.

"You should be more careful if you're still using cash these days." Endeavor said. I overheard Endeavor's earpiece before rushing off to follow him. I was getting better at staying caught up with Endeavor, but he was still getting ahead of me by a few seconds, which was clearly crucial for me to beat him. The police showed up at I stopped to catch my breath as I looked up at Endeavor who was restraining the villain.

"Incredible work, sir." A police officer said. He looked back at the four of us. "Let's call it a night for today. Go back to your rooms and get some sleep." Endeavor said. Kacchan got up from crouching down to prove he was ready to continue. "I'm not done fighting." Kacchan said. I sat down on the sidewalk and looked up at the star filled night sky. "What about you? You're not coming back with us?" Shoto asked. Endeavor shook his head before turning away from us. "I'll head back in after patrols are done. We've got an early day tomorrow and I don't want you fatigued and losing the progress you've made." Endeavor said. Endeavor walked off before I got up and looked at papa, Shoto, and Kacchan. "I'm ready to head back." I said, as a yawn escaped my mouth. We started making our way back to the agency building to get some rest, but when I laid down in my bed, I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned for a few minutes before getting up and sneaking over to papa's room and knocking on the door. "Did something happen?" Papa asked, opening his door. He looked around for a moment before looking down and seeing me. "Sorry, but I couldn't sleep." I said.

Papa smiled and patted my head. "Alright, come on. We both need some sleep." Papa said, stepping to the side. I walked into his room and he picked me up and laid me down on his bed next to him. "You doing okay here? Keeping up with everything?" Papa asked, hugging me. I nodded as I enjoyed his hug and scent since both made me feel safe. "That's good. Wanna know something?" Papa asked. I looked at him, a little confused, before nodding. "I've been texting Uraraka updates about your training and she's very proud of you." Papa said. I smiled before papa kissed my forehead. "I'm proud of you, too. Who knew the little girl I saved with All Might would turn out to be such a good hero." Papa said, smiling at me. I giggled before letting out a yawn. Papa started petting my head as I closed my eyes before falling asleep. The next morning I woke up to papa's alarm going off before I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Time to get up, sweetie." Papa said. I nodded and got out of bed before heading back to my room. As I walked to my room, I accidentally bumped into a couple of the side kicks who just chuckled and patted my head before turning me so I'd miss a couple people before I got to my room. Once I was there I changed into my hero costume which was covered in scrapes from all the training we've been doing. After that I headed out and caught up to papa and Kacchan who were headed to the gym. Kacchan looked upset since it was so early in the morning. Burnin' greeted us in the gym before  asking about how our little challenge with Endeavor was going.

I stood next to Burnin as papa and the others talked about how they were improving with their attacks. Burnin smirked as she looked at them before smiling at me. "Guess they don't need a fire started under you kids." Burnin said. I nodded before Endeavor walked up to us. "You ready? You kids with me." Endeavor said. We headed out on patrols, Endeavor and I were almost neck and neck when it came to responding while papa, kacchan and Shoto were slower still. Day and night we continued to train with Endeavor as we improved each day. Near the end of another day of training the four of us were catching our breath while Endeavor stood near the edge of the building we were on. It was the weekend and I was happy to finally be able to call mama after not talking with her for a whole week again. "Follow me!" Endeavor shouted. 

"Yes sir!" We answered. We followed him back to the agency before heading to a house. "What the hell is this!?" Kacchan shouted. 

"My sister invited everyone for dinner." Shoto said. Papa and I were just staring up at the house since it was massive. "Why the crap?!" Kacchan asked.

"She wanted to meet my friends." Shoto said.

"March in there right now and tell her that we aren't and never will be friends!" Kacchan shouted. Endeavor started walking to the house while papa was trying to calm down Kacchan. Endeavor opened the door before I heard someone else talk. "Come on in. Thank you for making time in your busy schedule to drop by for a bite. I'm Fuyumi Shoto's older sister, it's nice to meet you. Thank you both for looking out for him." Fuyumi said, smiling at us. Papa thanked her for inviting us over before Fuyumi looked at me. "Um... Dad? Who's this?" Fuyumi asked, looking at Endeavor.

"This is Y/n Midoriya. She's Izuku's adoptive daughter and a current work studies student with my agency." Endeavor said. Fuyumi looked at me clearly shocked to hear that. "What? She's a hero?" Fuyumi asked. I nodded and smiled at her. "Yeah. I am a hero in training along with papa and mama." I said. Fuyumi came over and knelt down in front of me. "You're not forced to do this right?" Fuyumi asked. I looked at her confused before shaking my head. "Alright, I guess that's okay then. Still you shouldn't be doing that." Fuyumi said.

"It's okay. I like being a hero." I said.

"Trust me, she's not going to back down." Endeavor said. Fuyumi just sighed and nodded before inviting us into the dining room. Papa, Kacchan and I sat on one side of the table, Endeavor was at the head of the table and Fuyumi, Shoto and their brother sat on the other side of the table. Fuyumi introduced herself again before introducing their brother Natsuo. Shoto introduced the three of us to Natsuo and Fuyumi. I could feel the tension from Natsuo and Endeavor as Natsuo looked at him. "Uh... Anyways let's dig in before the food gets cold. If there's anything you don't like don't force yourselves to eat it. I won't be sad." Fuyumi said.

"Thanks for the food." I said, before digging into the food. I happily ate the food as my three tails waved behind me. "I guess that's one way to know someone's enjoying my food." Fuyumi said, smiling at me. Papa laughed as he looked at me as well. "Yeah, Y/n has trouble hiding some of her emotions when it comes to her tails." Papa said. I smiled and continued eating before papa broke down and analyzed the food. There was a fair amount of tension between Natsuo and Endeavor before he finished eating and left. Fuyumi tried to get him to stay, but he didn't as she looked at the door. After we finished eating we were helping cleaning, I was helping clear the table with  Fuyumi and Shoto while papa and Kacchan took the dirty dishes to Endeavor who was washing them. "Thank you for helping with the clean up." Fuyumi said.

"I'm happy to. Plus it'd be rude to just leave everything for you to clean up." I said. 

"Midoriya would be upset if you didn't let him pitch in and Y/n's the same way." Shoto said. Fuyumi looked at him before she stopped wiping the table. "It's not like I don't feel the way Natsuo feels. Now's our chance to fix this." Fuyumi said, looking at Shoto. Shoto talked about his scar and how Endeavor was responsible for it before talking about his mom and how she was trying to get past what happened to him. "To be honest I have no idea what I want from him. I don't know how to feel about the old man. I'll figure it out though." Shoto said.

I heard a growl before Kacchan came into the dining room and complained about what SHoto and Fuyumi were talking about. Papa pointed out that the three of us knid of knew about what was going on with their family. Papa talked about how Shoto might not be ready to forgive Endeavor for what he did but was ready to move forward with him. I could hear some quiet breathing as papa talked about what was going on with Shoto and his dad before I smiled. "What's got you smiling sweetie?" Papa asked.

"The chicken." I lied, knowing that Natsuo and Endeavor both overheard papa. Papa sighed as Fuyumi giggled about what I said. "I think we have some leftovers, I'll get you a container of chicken." Fuyumi said. My tails wagged back and forth as I smiled at her. "Thank you so much." I said.
