Chapter 76

Y/n's POV

A week after Eri came to visit, papa was transferred to the effects team while he also was able to join during the first dance. Mina was still unsure about how I could help, but the effects team had a few ideas for my flames. However, they were having a few troubles working it out. After that, papa was trying to train in the early morning, every morning, which I tried to help with, but sometimes I'd just sleep in. Mina was making sure that I could match her dance moves, which was a lot of fun, but the night before the festival papa noticed that the rope they were using for Aoyama was frayed. Papa planned to go in the morning to get a new rope after we did some training. "Hey papa, can I sleep in your room tonight?" I asked.

"Sure, but why in my room?" Papa asked.

"I wanna wake up on time for training, plus it'll be nice to get out of UA since we've been on lockdown for a while." I said, letting out a small yawn. Papa smiled and picked me up. "Sure, let's head to bed so you can get enough sleep." Papa said. I nodded and waved to everyone as papa carried me to his room. I slept peacefully for the entire night until papa woke me up. "Y/n, it's time to get up." Papa said. I looked at him before looking at his alarm clock on the side of the seeing that it was 06:00 (6 am.) "5 more minutes?" I asked. Papa chuckled and sat me up in his bed. "You wanted to train with me and help me remember?" Papa asked. I nodded and climbed out of papa's bed, almost falling on my face when I did. "Woah, take it slow. I woke you up early so we could get you ready for the day without you falling asleep while we do." Papa said, catching me. 

He sat me back down on his bed, keeping me away from the edge just so I wouldn't fall over. "Give me a couple minutes then we can go get you dressed." Papa said. I nodded and tried to keep my eyes open. Papa headed to his closet and grabbed a shirt before tossing a clean one on and stepping into the bathroom and changing. While he was in the bathroom, I laid back down enjoying papa's scent in his sheets since it made me feel safe. "Y/n?" Papa asked. I opened my eyes seeing papa standing by the side of his bed. "Come on let's go get you ready for the day." Papa said, picking me up from his bed. I gripped his blanket and tried to take it with us, but papa made me let it go before he carried me out of his room. "Aww papa I want your blanket." I sleepily complained. 

"You're going to be awake soon, do you really need a blanket?" Papa asked. I nodded against his shoulder. "It smells like you and it makes me feel safe." I said. Papa sighed as he made his way to my room on the fourth floor. Once we got there papa set me down and had me get changed into some clean clothes for the day. "Alright, let's get in a quick breakfast then we can train." Papa said, once I was dressed. I nodded and let out one last yawn before we walked downstairs and got some breakfast. After we got some breakfast we headed to the woods near campus and started training. As we were training I heard someone getting closer to us while papa was working on his control. As papa was about to fire off a shot of air with his power some rustling came frmo a bush close to him. "There you are Midoriya." Hatsume said, popping out of the bush.

"Hatsume you're covered in dirt." Papa said, a little shocked we was here. Hatsume walked out of the bush talking about how we should ignore the grime and dark circles under her eyes. "I knew I'd find you training out here even though it's the big day." Hatsume said. She pulled a set of odd looking gloves out from behind her and showed them to papa. "I've got the gloves you asked for to work, so I came to deliver them in person." Hatsume said.

"You could've waited until the festival was over to make them." I said.

"Once the festival is over I'm going to sleep for 36 hours." Hatsume said. All Might asked to take a look at the gear that papa asked for. Hatsume went on about the look and how she wanted to make sure papa liked them the first time. After that she dumped the manual on papa before running off somewhere. After that All Might had papa trying to use his new attack again. Around 07:30 (7:30 am) I tried to get papa to stop training, but he wasn't able to hear me over the wind he was causing with his attacks. I eventually stepped in front of him and changed into my giant fox form being blasted by the wind. "Y/n! What are you thinking?" All Might asked.

"Sorry, but papa needs to go get rope from the store." I said. 

"Is it really that late?" Papa asked looking at his phone. He realized what time it was before apologizing to All Might and patting me on the head after I changed back to my human form. "Thanks, I almost lost track of time." Papa said. I nodded before he rushed off to get rope. "You're not going with him? I thought you planned to." All Might said. 

"I did, but Eri's coming today and I'm supposed to protect her and others in case her power goes out of control." I explained. 

"Ah I see, well I guess I should thank you for protecting not only me but the other students as well." All Might said. 

"You can thank me by giving me head pats." I said, as my tails wagged behind me. All Might smiled before patting my head. "Thank you." All Might said. I giggled and enjoyed his head pats before heading off to help finish preparations for our concert.
