America's Prism

Chapter 19

Stephen smiled when they entered, somewhat awkwardly taking Nora into his arms when she held herself out to him. He placed her on his hip like Prism had and chuckled when she kissed his cheek.

"Uncle Strange are you a real doctor?" she asked as Prism crossed her arms in amusement, watching.

"I am. I'm also a surgeon, do you know what means?"

She nodded, "Mommy watches Grey's Anatomy."

Prism gawked, "Only when you're supposed to be asleep!"

Nora giggled, "So you know the bodies inside parts."

"We're well acquainted, yes."

"Like what? What's this?" she pointed to a vague part of her little belly, lifting her shirt a little showing how oddly firm for a toddler she was.

He knit his brows in surprise and glanced at Priz who waved it off.

"I didn't work in pediatrics, little lady. I'm afraid my child anatomy is a bit rusty."

Nora wiggled so he put her down and ran over to Priz, not hesitating to push her shirt up a little and point to the same spot on her.

The woman gave a slightly uncomfortable laugh and pushed her shirt down, "Let's save the Anatomy lessons for when you're older, okay?"

Shrugging, Nora relented.

Strange clapped his hands, "Alright, well let's get started. I want to get a basic magical scan of you first, is that okay?" he asked.

The blonde immediately nodded, trusting him fully.

He nodded and began to take his position to cast the same symbols he did for Priz's scans, "Watch this!" The mom smiled, watching her face light up as beautiful orange symbols formed at Strange's command.

"Ohhh what's that?"

"Elderich magic." He replied as he finished casting the symbol placed itself flat on the floor. "In you go."

The tot immediately entered the circle and turned to face them with wide eyes full of interest.

For the next couple of hours, Nora was happy to receive undivided attention from her mom and uncle, generally having fun while they scanned her. When the scanning was done, Prism cast illusions to play with her while Strange poured over the information he'd gained, writing things down and checking old books.

After a couple tests for Priz while her daughter watched, the duo hugged Strange goodbye and thanked him for his time before he portalted them back to the living area of the Avengers Compound.

When Nora hopped through the portal with both feet in a big jump and beamed up at Natasha who had been watching TV.

"Nice jump." She high fived the girl and watched while Priz stayed to speak to Stephen for a moment, glancing over and nodding slightly with her head at him.

Natasha got the message and asked Nora if she wanted to learn how to tuck and roll like in movies. The little girl eagerly agreed and followed the redhead from the room.
