Habitat: Tundra, Frozen Seaway, Arctic Ridge, Polar Field, Hoarfrost Reach, Guiding Lands, Frost Islands, and The Citadel.

Physiology: Barioth is a quadrupedal flying wyvern, with a head that resembles the extinct sabertooth cat Smilodon Fatalis. His body is mostly covered with icy white plates and spikes along his neck, spike, and tail. His face features two massive, curved tusks of an amber coloration. His forelimbs are longer and more powerful than his hindlimbs, with deadly spikes along his wings, as well as three large claws. His tail is forked and ridged with spikes.
Behavior: He is highly aggressive and territorial. He will attack any hunter that enters his domain. When enraged, his eyes turn red.
Abilities: Barioth will move quickly and attack wildly, presenting a challenge even to experienced hunters. He uses his fangs and claws to slide around on the ice, making it hard to keep up with him. He is able to slide tail to his side and wield it with a club-like fashion, which can inflict iceblight. He can use his claws and wings for a homing glide attack from the sky on unsuspecting prey. He is capable of producing a wind blast. Barioth will spike out and ice ball that will create a powerful tornado. If caught in this tornado, the hunter is inflicted with the snowman status, but it won't work if he is fatigued. He can an will perform side jumps and dodges, but he can use his spiked wings to perform a hipcheck.
Why he is my favorite? -the second monster to have a feline appearance. -his weapons are useful. -when his wings are broken, he will stall when doing a jump attack or a homing divebomb. -in Rise, the yokai that represents him is both Kamaitachi and Yama-Misaki. -he is the monster form of Weiss Schnee.
