Monsters Related to: Boltreaver Astalos

Physiology: All Astalos are male as the females are not seen. The body of Astalos is covered in sharp, dark-green plating, though he has a more bright-colored underside. Unlike most flying wyverns, his wings resemble those of an insect, more specifically a Glasswing Butterfly. His tail makes up almost half of his length, and has two pairs of pincers similar to an earwig. He has a relatively small head, with a large horn on top and red eyes that turn green when charged up.

Behavior: He is hyper-aggressive towards hunters and other monsters alike. He will violently attack anything on sight and will pick fights with other monsters for seemingly no reason.

Abilities: He can generate green electricity by moving and rubbing his body parts, in which he can release this electricity from his wings, tail, and horn. His wings have sharp claws, which he uses in ferocious divebombing attacks. He can paralyze his prey with a strike from his tail, as well as fire bolts of electricity from his mouth, but also breath out electric pillars upon impact on the ground. His horn can create a blade-like current of electricity, which can extend the range of his horn attacks.

Why he is my favorite?
-he is the 2nd member of the Fate Four.
-he is the rival to Rathalos.
-his weapons and armor look more insect.
-unlike the Rath Duo, the Astalos pair are more cannibalistic because the young Astalos appear to resemble the neopteran Vespoid, which is some of the wyverns prey.
