9 months later
Jays POV
I sit on the floor, my back leaned against the couch and my ankles crossed as I type on my laptop, the girls crawling about around me.
Becca's small hands pull at my left arm, and I give it to her, using my right hand to type.
She runs her little finger over the scar on my inner forearm.
The brand.
All our men have our symbol tattooed onto them. But when you become don, it gets branded onto you.
The girls are fascinated by the scar. I'm not entirely sure why.
Suddenly there's a knock on my front door, and I recognise who it is immediately.
Sure enough, Atlas opens the door a few seconds later and steps inside. He knows I'm usually too busy to open the door- I gave him permission a long time ago to just walk in.
"Sir" He nods his head at me as he closes the door behind him.
"What?" I mutter, just as Alora crawls back over to me. Sighing, I grab her and lift her on my lap, giving her a gentle hug as I stare at him, waiting for him to get on with it.
"The mission went well. Leon Robinson is dead" He tells me, and I feel my lips pull into a small smile.
The job is done.
Leon Robinson has been a pain in my ass for the last five months- stealing shipments and blowing them up.
Finally- fucking finally he's dead. As are his family- but that's history at this point.
"You may leave," I tell him, and he nods his head again before leaving.
I stare at Alora, who's staring back at me curiously. I shoot her a smile. "This is good news" I explain, making her giggle. Probably at my smile and not my words- they're far too young to understand.
My door suddenly bursts open.
I scowl at Atlas as he stands in my doorway with wide eyes. "What?-"
"Sorry sir. Just a heads up your father pulled up outside" He blurts, before quickly slamming the door shut behind him.
I roll my eyes at his antics, before standing up. Alora giggles when I lift her, before slowly placing her back down on the floor.
There's a pounding on my door a few seconds later, and I groan at the fact Issac is here.
Alora giggles again. I look at her, seeing she's still staring. "That funny huh?" I ask, and she grins. I lean down to kiss her head before realising my other daughter has gone quiet.
I find her lying under the coffee table.
Rolling my eyes playfully, I walk over to my door and open it.
Issac pushes inside. I feel my irritation start to grow already, and it takes a lot of strength not to slam the door shut.
"Jesus they've grown" He mutters, staring at my girls. "Newborns tend to do that" I say, walking over and dragging Becca out from under the table.
She whines, attempting to crawl back under. I hold under her arms and lift her up, and she wriggles, trying to get back on the ground.
Next, I bend down to pick up Alora with my free arm. Ignoring Issac, I walk over to the girl's bedroom and place them both inside their playpen. I leave the door to their room open as I return back to Issac.
I haven't seen him since the transfer of titles. I'm glad of it too. I always am when he decides to keep his distance.
Im always pissed when he decides to show up again.
