Don't Say Goodbye, Were Going To See Each Other Again

~Gerard's p.o.v~

It was Monday, Mikey going back to school...And i'm leaving...Leaving to go home, and enroll to Art college. I laid in my bed, staring up at the ceiling, the promise I made with Mikey...I smiled as I remember the promise, 'When you graduated...Can you see me again? I promise, I will never forget about you' The promise made my heart break, and warm at a same time...It's so sad, that i will have to leave my little brother. But, I know he strong, he can handle his life on his own, without my help. I smiled again, my brother was growing up fast...And he becoming stronger, and becoming more mature...Which I was glad. I looked at the time, it was 6 a.m, I sighed, as I closed my eyes, tiredness overcoming me.

One thought remained in my head..."I will be leaving Mikey at 3:00 p.m...After school", as I fell asleep, relaxed.

~Timeskip~

I woke up, knocking on my door, I groaned, as I heard my door open. "Hey...Gerard...Pack up, were going to be leaving in like...3 hours" I heard my father's voice, I lift up my head, putting my hands on my eyes, rubbing them. "Ok" I reply, as I stopped rubbing my eyes, looking at my dad, he gave me a smile, "Go eat, and tell mom goodbye" I nodded, as he walked out of my room. I got up, stretching, popping my joints, I felt so rested, which I only got...6 hours of sleep. I went over to my desk, looking at it, as I found my lyrics book. I smiled a little, as I grabbed it, it was lyrics I made for Mikey...It was called 'Brother' I smiled more, as I read over the lyrics, I finished reading, so I ripped out the page from my lyrics book, and walked to Mikey's room.

I opened it, and walked inside, and putting down the piece paper on top of his laptop, I look around his room, taking in every detail. As my eyes landed on the teddy bear, I smiled, as I walked up to it, and grabbed it, it was soft...It was so fluffy too. I smiled, as I hugged it, the sense of grass sending in my nostrils, I remember this teddy bear...When I was younger...I smiled as I put it down, and walked out of Mikey's room, closing it behind, as I walked downstairs.

I walked to the kitchen, seeing a plate of cookies, and a sandwich. "Sorry if it wasn't much, Gerard"Mom says, I smiled, "It's fine, I like cookies!" I say as i sat down on the counter, which sat down on bar stool. I started eating the sandwich, "You want milk?" Mom ask, I nodded, "Yes please" I say. I heard her laugh a little, because of my tone of voice, I sounded like a child...She put down the glass filled with milk next to my plate, "thanks, ma, you're the best" I say smiling, as I drank the cup of milk, she giggled. "No problem.." She says her voice draining down a little, I looked up at her, she was frowning.

"Mikey told me...You're enrolling to Art college" she says, frowning still, I looked at her, giving her a sad smile, "Ya...I'm going to miss you and Mikey" I say frowning a bit, as I finish my sandwich. "Well...I wish you luck, Gerard...I wish you luck, that you will graduate..." She says, smiling. I smiled at her, as I ate my cookies, finishing. I got up, "Thanks ma...Also, I gotta go pack up...Tell me if Mikey comes home" I say, she nodded, as I ran upstairs, and to my room. I arrived in my room, and started packing up, but my smile on my face disappeared...It was replaced with a frown.

I finished packing up, I sat down on bed, looking through my phone. Until, I heard the front door open, and a yell downstairs, "GERARD! MIKEY HERE!" she yelled, I smiled, but not my regular smile. I got up, and went downstairs, skipping two steps, as I saw Mikey there, hugging dad. "I will see you later, alright Mikey?" Dad says, "Thanks Dad...For everything...I love you..." Mikey says, my dad smiled, as he pulled away, and looked at me. I smiled big, as I went down the stairs, and ran up to Mikey, almost crashing him down, he laughed a little, "Wow Gee..." he says, I smiled, as I hugged him, tightly.

"You're going now...?" He ask, his voice sounded so pained, I felt my heart drop. "Yea...I'm going..." I say, my voice cracking a little. "I'm going to miss you..." Mikey whispers, "I'll miss you too..." I say, as I pulled away, he looked at me, tears watering in his eyes, I felt my smile drop to a frown. "Remember...That promise? It's ok...Were going to see each other again" I say, barely audible. He smiled at me, but not his regular smile, it his sad smile. "Just remember, I may walk away defeated, but, remember the lights are still on, i'm leaving it on...Meaning I will come back...I will come back later..." I say, my voice cracking, as I felt tears stream down my face.

He looked at me, tears streaming down his face too, "You helped me so much...Thank you, Gerard" He says, hugging me again, I hugged back, I nuzzled on his shoulder, crying. "Gerard...Hurry we have to go..." Dad says, I pulled away, and looked at Mikey. "Bye..." I say, tears still streaming down, "Don't say that...This isn't the last to see me..." He says smiling a little, I smiled back, as I pat him on shoulder, "Well, see you later then..." He smiled, and nodded.

I walked outside, going to the car, and climbing in the front seat, I rolled down the window and looked at Mikey and mom standing there waving, Mikey on mom's shoulder, crying. I frowned, as I yelled out at them, "I see you guys later!" I yelled, as I drove away, losing them in my sight. I looked at dad who driving, He sighed, "I'm going to miss you too...Gerard" He says looking at me, smiling then back at the road, "I'm going to miss all of you..." I say, as the lyrics I made for Mikey came back to my head, I sang it in my head, as I close my eyes, falling asleep. Remembering all the memories with Mikey.
