Looking into those soft blue eyes
They had once shone with so much brightness it would blind him, reminding him of the beautiful waters they loved to swim in so much, the open sky on their walks, delicate hydrangeas, his new favorite shade of blue
Now, they seemed like glaciers. Cold and dangerous. While innocent looking on the outside, underneath the surface of the waters a colossal labyrinth that even the best sailors couldn't avoid without being sunken.
He wondered if it ever hurt, if pieces of him broke when he'd sink those ships, or if it was just an inconvenience. He desperately wanted to dive in, mapping out every space, smoothing out all the painful edges, knowing it was never going to happen, not caring he'd hurt himself along the way, turning the deep blue waters red as he tried, enduring everything if it meant bringing back that shine and sparkle
He began to hate the colour blue in its initrity
It was only when he had realized that the fond memories of the sky and the lakes, were just in his head, just visions of what HE wanted to see, that he finally allowed himself to heal. Allowed the wounds to fade away, becoming contempt with the idea that while the scars will never go away he'd still be strong, he wouldn't let them weight him down. And he'd NEVER, fall for another illusion again.
You can see where my brain died because I'm tired af and started getting sloppy lol, I'll edit and add to it, make it a full short story with details lol trying to get my love for writing back and suddenly got inspiration. Comment what colour I should do when I'm done and wait for the update on this one
