"This is the story of how I died"
ONCE THEY WERE sure that Baek Hyang-hui had left, the group of Counters emerged from their hiding place, five of them holding a white stick in their hands determined to end everything once and for all.
While everyone was sure this would be the final battle, Thea had a feeling it wouldn't be the last time they would see them again. But she didn't want to destroy her team's hopes like that, so she kept her thoughts to herself. Instead she appeared confident and determined in front of her teammates.
"Let's pull this off. This may be our last chance" Ms. Chu exclaimed with determination in her voice
"Stay calm and focused. We've done this once, you know" Mo-tak nodded his head
"All right, let's go" Jangmul whispered and so everyone went their own way
Five of them surrounding the mansion while Mun prepared for the big fight. Thea slammed the stick into the ground, extending one of her hands into the air, feeling a great energy in her body building up and preparing to provide energy to the barrier. Thus her eyes turned white and the barrier began to form around the mansion.
The energy once again traveled through her veins to the tips of her fingers and finally entered the wooden stick. Time seemed to be short being in that trance from which she could not leave unless necessary, and for that same reason the barrier vanished almost after a few minutes of being created. Thea gasped, feeling the energy leave her body.
"The barrier... it got deactivated" Thea murmured, holding onto the stick tightly so as not to fall to the ground
"I guess now without the barrier I'll be able to kill you more easily" Said a voice that Thea recognized quite well behind her
"Park Ye-jun..." Thea murmured, turning around until she was face to face with her supposed uncle
Who did not wait any longer to run towards her in a quick movement, Thea used the wooden stick as a shield but Ye-jun's attack was too strong that he broke the stick in half and Thea went rolling on the ground until she collided with a tree.
Of course he was stronger now, Thea was too, she had been waiting for this moment day and night, she had wasted no time on anything other than training her psychotic abilities. She clenched her abdomen in pain from having been the part to crash into the tree trunk.
"You know, I've never once heard you call me 'uncle' before, so I hope I can hear you before I finish with you." Ye-jun admitted, picking up one of the halves of the broken stick on the ground. "Jun-seo used to be my favorite, he was the only sane among all of you, the most dedicated and loyal to me"
"You don't have the right to talk about my family like that after what you did," Thea exclaimed with venom in her words, spitting out the blood that seemed to want to stay inside her mouth
