"I'm not mad,
I'm hurt
There's a difference"

THEA'S COUNTENANCE revealed distress, evident in her furrowed brow and averted gaze upon seeing Mo-tak's injured hand. Despite her attempts to offer solace by gently gripping his shoulders, she was met with his ceaseless complaints. Similarly, Thea now acknowledged the full extent of Mr. Ma's talents, unfazed by his lack of gratitude for their prior kindness towards him. It appeared that he had forsaken their past affection, consumed instead by a thirst for retribution.

This incident marked a turning point for Thea, as she realized that merely feeling sorry for Mr. Ma would not bring about his downfall. The sight of Mo-tak, her respected and adored sunbae, being harmed by the man in a cruel manner ignited a deep anger within her.

"Hold still. Don't move" Mrs. Chu directed Mo-tak, holding his injured wrist with care as Hana offered solace by holding his hand gently. Mrs. Chu expertly observed "Your bones are shattered" as she delicately examined Mo-tak's broken hand with her fingers, while Jeok-bong, in a state of dismay and frustration, grabbed his hair and made small, horrified movements in place

"What do we do?" Jeok-bong questioned, his brow furrowed in contemplation as he grasped his head, giving the impression that he was contemplating drastic measures "It looks as if a tiger bit him" He expressed discomfort, while Mun sat by Mo-tak's side holding his hand for reassurance, crouched on the floor with his chin and other hand resting on the wooden table, displaying evident concern

"Jeok-bong" In a strained voice, Mo-tak called out as he lifted his head weakly to make eye contact with the aforementioned

"Yes?"

"I'm not dead" Mo-tak remarked with his eyes shut briefly, registering the pain in his hand while receiving treatment from Ms. Chu "You look so ugly right now—" he commented with a pained expression, his sentence left unfinished as he lowered his head. Hana and Thea couldn't suppress a slight chuckle as they shared a knowing glance with Jeok-bong, who was displaying a somewhat comedic demeanor

Thea's brow furrowed as she observed Mo-tak pressing his forehead against the table repeatedly in an attempt to alleviate the intense pain in his injured hand. She proceeded to tenderly pat her elder's back, expressing sympathy for the agony he was enduring.

"It's done" Ms. Chu declared, breathless, as both she and Hana relinquished their grip on Mo-tak's hand to enable him to examine it. He proceeded to flex and extend his fingers, delicately rotating his wrist

"Thank you, Ms. Chu" Hana softly murmured, gently clasping the senior woman's arm in acknowledgement of her dedication and efforts
