StarDate 2275.15.05, Today I received a letter from Kevin Riley and he is aboard The USS Enterprise and he seems to like his new job.
Kevin told me that he had met some new friends, Pavel Chekov and Sulu, but he didn't know Mr. Sulu's first name.
In his letter he told me about all of his new friends that he made on board the USS Enterprise.
As I read his letter, Lord Andrew Charles walks into my drawing room and asks ' Who is that letter from?"
"It is from Kevin." I replied, "He has made a lot of new friends on board The USS Enterprise and he said this " I have made some new great friends and I like my new job. I rarely get a chance to rest."
"What is new? Soon we will become Duke and Duchess next month." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"Father wants to retire as he has been Duke since 2240." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"He can hardly wait to show Lady Elizabeth as his golden hair heiress." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"Where is my father's heiress?" Lord Andrew Charles asks me.
She is upstairs in her crib sleeping." I answer "Please don't wake her up."
"I still haven't found the right nanny for her to help me." I answer.
"She is my daughter." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"You have that right. One day she will succeed you." I told him " She is not ready and you must act like a responsible young man and be like your father who is much loved." I told him.
"I can't measure up to my father as he became Duke at 30 years old and governed Norfolk for 45 years." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"You can try. You need to learn humility, be humble, less proud, because if you don't it will be your downfall." I told him.
"A good ruler is loved by his people." I explain, "You will become Duke, but don't draw me into it as I want no part of it." I told him.
"It is your albatross around your neck. One day it may choke you to death." I told him " Please don't bring Lady Elizabeth into it."
"Remember. I am her guardian." I told him. "She may be your father's heiress, but I want nothing to prevent her from having a happy childhood."
"There will be no boarding or finishing school for her. I don't want to become one of the stuffy Wellesley women.

" I told him.
"She needs to learn to govern to this Dukedom when her time comes and when she does. Change will come to Star Base 12 and Norfolk Territory." I told him.
"You are only 24 years old." I told him "We still have four more children to go."
"What about this coronation?" I ask him.
"Father has planned for June 4, 2275." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"I guess I have to have a new dress." I ask him.
"You will need several new dresses. I am sure you can find some in town." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"What colors have been chosen for our coronation?" I ask him.
"I have chosen Navy blue and gold, Dark Amethyst and Gold and White and Gold." Lord Andrew Charles told me.
"Father has invited all the nobility here on Star Base 12 along with the United Federation of Planets and Vulcan." Lord Andrew Charles told me.
"Father has made up a special tiara for Lady Elizabeth to wear on our coronation and he wants her to wear the same colors." Lord Andrew Charles told me.
"Father wants us to sit for a formal portrait." Lord Andrew Charles tells me.
"I will see that we are dressed as you wish. I need to answer Kevin's letter." I told him.
"I'm just glad he has met some people on the Enterprise." I told Lord Andrew Charles .
"I know. Kevin means a lot to you." Lord Andrew Charles tells me "If The Enterprise was in orbit I would have invited him along with The Captain."
"The Enterprise is not in our sector at the moment and won't be for another six months." I told him.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at me and he walks out of my drawing room to write to Kevin.
