It is June 25, 2294, it is the double wedding of Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane to her second cousin, Lord Richard Edward Howard The Third and Lady Samhain Wilhelmina Charlene, Duchess of Clarence Territory to her second cousin, Lord David William Beck The Second.
Lady Samhain wanted to wear my bridal dress I wore when I married her father 19 years ago, with some minor updating it made her beautiful, and Lady Elizabeth decided to wear a White Lace Regency bridal dress.
Lord Andrew Charles is going to escort Lady Elizabeth but Lady Samhain has asked her third cousin, Lord Richard William Carey to walk her up the aisle as he did to me 19 years ago.
When Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Andrew Charles see Lady Samhain wearing my wedding dress. I watch a smile come to their faces and Lord Andrew Charles tells our daughter, Lady Samhain " I remember when your mother wore that dress. I always thought it was the most beautiful wedding dress I ever saw."
"I was never so happy on our wedding day when I married your mother and I am sure you will be just as happy with your second cousins." Lord Andrew Charles tells our daughters.
"I hate to let you go. It seems just like yesterday . You were both my baby girls." Lord Andrew Charles tells our daughters.
"I don't know why I have to share my grandchildren with both my damn first cousins." Lord Andrew Charles tells our daughter.
"It is as if all my cousins are going to share my grandchildren." Lord Andrew Charles tells his daughters.
"Father. You are not losing Lady Samhain or me." Lady Elizabeth tells her father " Lord Richard Edward The Third and I know our duty to our great-great-great-grandfather, Lord Patrick William Howard."
"We made a promise to keep The Dukedoms of Norfolk and Wessex in The Howard family." Lady Elizabeth tells her father.
"I want to give my beloved grandfather. His first great-grandchild before he was taken away from me." Lady Elizabeth explains.
"Your grandfather is close to 88 years old, Lady Elizabeth. He was born in 2209, and he has lost both of his brothers who were younger than he was." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"I want my grandfather to hold his first great-grandchild in his arms before he is taken from me." Lady Elizabeth tells her father.
"He had to wait 33 years for me to be born and now he has to wait again to see his first great-grandchild." Lady Elizabeth tells him.
"Lord Richard Edward The Third and I are dedicated to see that he gets his first great-granddaughter who will have my dear mother's name, because I love her." Lady Elizabeth tells her father.
"I can't bear the thought that one day I will lose her too, so my first daughter will be given the name of her maternal grandmother and that way I will alway have her with me." Lady Elizabeth tells her father.
"Father. I have decided to honor my paternal grandmother, Lady Patricia Eugenie and my first daughter will be given her name." Lady Samhain tells her father.
That really moves Lord Andrew Charles that one of his children remembers his mother, Lady Patricia Eugenie Stuart, and Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Samhain "I know your grandmother will be moved to know that."
"Lord David William and I are taking our honeymoon to Lennox Territory to be with my grandmother." Lady Samhain tells her father.
"I am sure your first cousin once removed will be happy to give you a manor in Lennox Territory after all you are second cousins to his two children." Lord Andrew Charles explains.
Finally it comes time for Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William Carey to escort the brides up the aisle and I sit in the front row in the garden, along with Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, Lord Richard Edward Howard The Second, Lord David William Beck and their wives.
From the distance in the garden the two happy spirits of Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior, and Lord Edwin William are watching as their grandson and great-grandson marry their oldest brother's two oldest granddaughters.
