The Diaries of Two American Aristocrat Regency Duchesses on Star Base 12

The Return of Lt Kevin Thomas Riley,

StarDate 2278.07.15, I had no idea that Kevin had finished his internship on the USS Enterprise when he returned to StarBase 12 and I saw him riding on his horse up the driveway of Beltane Manor.

I just stood outside of Beltane Manor with Lady Elizabeth and Lady Samhain, when I saw him riding up the driveway and his horse galloped faster when he saw me standing outside and finally his horse stopped and he climbed off and he walked over to me where I was standing with Lady Elizabeth and Lady Samhain and he bows to me " I am back Karissa." Kevin tells me.

"Welcome Home Kevin." I told him.

"Are they your daughters? One looks like you but one looks like Lord Andrew Charles Howard, but both are very beautiful." Kevin tells me.

"Yes Kevin. Their father is Lord Andrew Charles Howard, Duke of Norfolk Territory." I told him " I am Duchess of Norfolk Territory and Marchioness of Pembroke Territory, Susan is Duchess of Wessex Territory and Katherine is Countess of Essex Territory and Viscountess of Elmhurst Estate." I told him.

"I was hoping you would wait for me." Kevin tells me.

"I told you when you took that internship that I couldn't guarantee I would wait." I explained to him.

"Susan and Katherine wouldn't wait either." I told him.

"Both are mothers to Lord Patrick William Howard great-great-great- and great-great-great-great-grandchild." I told him.

"This is our oldest daughter, Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane Howard, she is now 3 years old and Lady Samhain is nearly two years old." I told him.

"Lady Samhain is Duchess of Clarence Territory. It is customary to bow to her." I told Kevin "This is the future Duchess of Norfolk Territory who made her grandfather very happy."

From the window watching Kevin and I talking is Lord Andrew Charles Howard and I tell "Andrew Charles is watching us. We don't want him to come out and I don't want a display between the two of you. "

"You know how jealous he is of any man who looks at me." I told him.

"You have no idea what kind of display he put on our wedding day between Lord Richard William Carey and him." I told him.

"I thought we would all have a duel between the three of each other. " I told Kevin.

"Kevin. I know many fine gentry aristocrat ladies here on Star Base 12. They are not so glamorous, but they are very pretty and come from good gentry families." I told him.

"In fact Lord John Seymour married the oldest daughter and Lord Charles Andrew Howard The Third married the second daughter, and they have a younger sister who would do perfect for you and her name is Lady Isabella Florence Collins." I told Kevin.

"Lady Isabella is 27 years old, very soft spoken, very charming and very pretty." I told him.

"She would make an excellent wife and she would give you children to carry on your father's legacy." I explained.

"They live in Collinwood Manor in Wessex Territory." I told him.

"Your children would be cousins to The Howards and The Seymours, but through their mothers and fathers." I told him.

"I will have Lady Susan make agreements for you to meet her, but her father can't afford a dowry." I told Kevin.

Kevin looks at me " I wish you had waited for me, Karissa." Kevin told me.

"I am sorry, but I won't play second fiddle to a man's career, Kevin and neither would Susan or Katherine." I told him " You made your choice and I told you I didn't want to hold you back."

"We will be friends forever and even maybe one day we'll be related." I told him.

With that Kevin bows and walks back to his horse, and climbs on his horse and rides away.
