Hoka took a deep breath, cigarette smoke filling her lungs. She shouldn't be smoking before a match, but.... She couldn't help but feel like she has to prove something.

She walked out into the arena, coming face to face with Koori Himura. The girl had snow white hair, her eyes a pale blue color. Her hair was tied up into a messy bun, strands of white coming off of it.

"Morikaga. I do apologize in advance for how this will probably turn out.... No hard feelings?" Koori said, her hand emitting a fine mist.

"Eh.... No need to apologize, Himura. I don't mind. We both know that this will be a close match."

The moment the signal was given, Koori sent a frigid wave of cold at her, a small amount of frost glazing over her palm. A wall of ice formed, the girl letting out an internal sigh.

(Name: Koori Himura

Class: 2B

Quirk: Freezing Burst

She can create freezing cold waves of ice and snow, capable of bringing things well below zero!)

A torrent of smoke erupted from the ice, Hoka stepping out of the smoke with a sigh. Damn. She was gonna burn through an entire pack today.

"I wouldn't recommend continuing-"

Hoka couldn't finish as her eyes widened. A mask made of a thin sheet of ice covered Koori's mouth and nose.

"Sorry.... But my uncle is watching." She calmly said, before releasing a freezing torrent of ice.

*One year ago....*

"Morikaga!" Aizawa scolded, the girl flinching slightly at his tone. "How many times must I say it? No smoking in class!"

Hoka huffed, saying "I need to! My way quirk doesn't work otherwise!"

This was back during her first year. Her relationship with Aizawa was.... Complicated.

"Morikaga, I understand how much you need them, but have you considered that you don't need to use so many?"

Hoka frowned.

"Your quirk is called Tobacco Hawk Moth Caterpillar, right? Have you considered all the abilities you might have?"

*Present*

"Special Move:"

Hoka took a deep breath.

"THMC Shriek!"

A loud and painful shriek tore through the ice and cold, some members of the crowd having to cover their ears. Koori winced, covering her ears in a desperate attempt to block out the sound. When the noise finally stopped, a ball of smoke hit her dead on, nearly sending her flying out of the arena.

At the last second, Koori formed a wall of ice, barely keeping her in the boundary line.

"That was close, Morikaga.... Finally, a worthy opponent. Using a Hawk Moth's screech to shatter the ice.... Quite effective."

Hoka scowled. This is going to be a long fight.

Meanwhile, the other students of class 2A watched.

"Man, Hoka and Koori are evenly matched...." Daichi commented, concerned.

"Yeah. Himura's not easy to take down.... Hibana's probably got the best chance against her if she wins.... Speaking of which, where's Bouran and Toki?" Feza questioned.

"Don't know. Something about rewarding Toki for her efforts...?" Peinta trailed off.

At that moment, both girls return, Toki adjusting her glasses.

"Who's winning?!" Bouran asks excitedly.

"They've reached a stalemate." Feza answered, feather puffing up slightly from the cold. "And Hoka's getting cold."

As if on cue, Hoka was sent flying to the edge of the boundary line, sheer luck being the reason for her not going over.

Koori laughed, saying "You can't outlast freezing temperatures, Morikaga. Not even All Might can."

Hoka nodded, saying "You're right but...."

She runs at the girl, smoke surrounding her. Koori puts up her arms, coughing as the smoke invaded her lungs. She saw Hoka. She blinks. She sees Endeavor. That moment of hesitation was all Hoka needed to push her out of the boundary line, winning her the match.

.

Hoka slightly, feeling the bruises that littered her sides. Damn it. They were already starting to turn purple....

"Go to Recovery Girl."

She looked up, seeing Aizawa.

"I don't have to-" She began to retort, before Aizawa swiftly cut her off.

"Stop it. You're not in that house anymore, you do not need to tough out your injuries for the sake of others. I am telling you this as your guardian, not your teacher. What I will say as your teacher, is that if you don't go to Recovery Girl and get your bruises looked at and healed, I will force you to throw the next match."

She smiles slightly, putting on that classic smirk of hers.

"Okay Dadzawa~"

"Stop calling me that!" He retorted, no real anger or annoyance behind it.

"Nope!" She happily shot back, skipping off towards Recovery Girl's office.

Aizawa sighed. This girl will be the death of him. Who knows, maybe she'll save his life one day and then he'll be forced to get along with her.... Heh, yeah right.

*Elsewhere....*

Shigaraki glared, looking at the woman before him.

"Are you serious? Why would we need another spy in UA?" The man questioned.

"Because I have a score to settle with one of the teachers.... Also, I am much better at getting information."

"Fine.... After the Sports Festival, make your move. But don't come crying to me for help when it all goes wrong!"

"Oh trust me.... Hypnos will not fail. Not again."
