You're Family Now

(A/n , Hey guys, Sorry but from now on the chapters will only be about 1000 to 2000 words but I just wanted to make the first chapter long and interesting to catch your attention, anyway, ON WITH THE STORY!)

*Back At The House*

Lachlan's POV-

We get back to the house and Gem was asleep in my arms, tuckered out from the skating and ice cream adventure I guess.

"Hey Lachlan" Mitch whispers, and I look up at him from looking at Gem

"Yeah?"

"Never mind." He sighs

We get to the house, and Gem is still asleep.

"Gem" I whisper and gently shake her shoulder

"Gem, we're back home." Her eyes flutter open and she looks at me and sits up slightly embarrassed for falling asleep on me.

"Oh, sorry"

"It's cool" I smile, she gives a shy smile back.

I get out of the car first and keep the door held open so she can get out. We all walk up to the front stoop and see eight NERF guns with a note and Gem picks up the note and reads it.

"Well guys it looks like we have had a war declared on us." She giggles putting the note in her pocket and picking up two guns.

"Mitch go in first and rapid fire while we take cover and then we'll cover you while you reload, and then we attack all at once" I elaborate, and Mitch just looks at me

"Why do I go first!?"

"Because you can dodge, and they'll have some mercy on you probably."

"Guys stop arguing and open the door!" Ashley yells.

"Ugh wimps, I'll go first." Gem rolls her eyes and shoves open the door only to be met with severe rapid fire.

"Eat NERF Dweebs!" She shouts and hits almost everyone aiming for her while Ashley, Mitch, and I take cover.

I aim for Adam and Tyler, and Gem runs across the floor to a couch across from mine.

"Lachlan! Look out!" Gem shouts and I look behind me to see Ty get shot right between the eyes with a bullet.

"How the hell!?!" He shouts and I look behind me to see Gem laughing her butt off.

"Oh it's on!" Ty laughs and aims for her smiling, and she tries goes to fire back but there are no more bullets.

"Crap, I'm out of ammo!" She shouts.

Ty is right by her now rapid firing, "Surrender!?!"

"Never!!!" She yells back, and next thing I know she's being picked up and carried by Rob and Jerome.

Jerome's POV-

Rob and I decided to go and pick up Gem as a prisoner of war so I grab her feet and Rob grabs her arms.

"Ha your our prisoner now!" I laugh and she just smiles

"Oh really?" she asks smugly and then twists around and falls to the ground whilst grabbing gun that Rob had left on the floor behind one of the couches.
