Dans pov-

The drama was... interesting and I felt so bad. Gemma spent who knows how long thinking that she was the cause of everyone going on their own way.

We made our way into the lounge room and Tyler put on an anime because we are all awkward geeks.

Phil fell asleep almost instantly because he is a peasant, so I woke him up just enough to send him off to his room that was one of the guest rooms in this house. Half way through one of the episodes Connor and Troye went back to Connors house because it was all ready about two in the morning. Next Tyler went to sleep in his room but Gem and I stayed up watching Bleach.

The two of us just couldn't make ourselves be tired even though we both knew that our brains were.

It was so adorable! The later it got, the more giggly Gem got and she kept curling herself into a little ball on the couch. Both of us had moved over to the couch infront of the television for a better view.

After a while we were both delirious we turned the volume down and started chatting.

"Okay, okay, so, you accidentally stole a pair of sunglasses and your solution, was to plant them on a baby so it seemed like an accident? What the hell is wrong with you!?" I laugh at her story, she's laughing so hard she's crying and nodding her head yes.

"Haha, well, well I didn't remember I had tried them on and because I was wearing sunglasses when I walked into the store I had thought those were mine!" She tries to reason.

"So you plant them on a baby?!" I chuckle and she nodds again, unable to form words. "Jesus fucking christ!"

We both die of laughter then and there.

"Mm!" She hums, whilst taking a sip of her drink, nothing bad, just a cup full of juice... I think. "So what about you? What embarrassing awkward stories do you have?"

I laugh. "Too many to list, and most too embarrassing to tell."

She smirks. "Oh, in that case, go on."

She wiggles her eyebrows slightly and we both start laughing again.

"Oh no, I am not going there." I object.

"Oh, come on! I told one of mine!" Gem tries to convince.

"Haha no, not going to happen."

"Awe, you're no fun." She pouts and lays her head in my lap, me subconsciously playing with her hair. She brings her drink up to her lips and then I smell it, it's wine.

"Gem!" I exclaim "Why the bloody hell are you drinking?! You're underage!"

She sits up and smiles at me. "Daniel, chill, this is my first and only cup. It isn't much and I've drank before so I know for a fact that I am the complete OPPOSITE of a lightweight drinker." She assures.

I roll my eyes at her as she reaches over the couch and pulls a wine bottle from the table. A smirk plays on her lips and she grabs another plastic red cup from the table as well.

"Do yah want some?..." She smiles and I roll my eyes.

"Fine, but not much, all we need is Tyler to know we have touched his wine and I let you drink some." I push.

She giggles. "Bitch please, in high school we went drinking all the time, hell we were the ones who brought the booze."

" You are a terrible human being." I accuse.

"Says the guy with a black soul." Gem retorts.

We both sit for another hour drinking our cups of wine and chatting before a power outage causes everything in the house to go off.

"Well, shit." She cries then I hear rustling " I don't have my phone for light, do you?"

I search my pockets and the near by tables but nothing. "Nope. Check the side table for lighters, there's a candle on the table behind the sofa."

We both search our areas and I finally find one after finding a sharp pair of scissors.

I light the candle and see how close me and Gem are together.

"Um, Hi, I was uh.. I was trying to find the candle I try to justify my position of almost lying on her. A visible blush takes its place in her cheeks and she looks away from my eyes.

"I-its okay. Um, it's kind of late, maby you should go to bed. I- I can sleep out here." She stutters. At that moment it thunders quite loudly and she clings to me. Is she afraid of thunder?

"Gem, are you okay?" I question, lightly rubbing her back.

"Um yeah, yeah I'm fine. Sorry. I just don't like the sound, it's random and loud." She answers.

"Well how about I stay out here with you until you fall asleep, yeah?" I ask and she nodds.

She curls into a ball, the light from the candle lighting her features faintly with dim light. I set the candle on the coffee table and the next thing I know, I'm asleep.
