Part 27

Tylers pov-

I woke up to my neighbors damn dog barking at the mailman again, but he's adorable so I can't stay mad haha. Of course I stretch then get up to make some coffee for everyone. I like having company in the house, even if it is just a few others.

I've missed Gem, it's been ages since high school I'm just glad that everything is okay now. I know why she didn't tell me about her living in an orphanage but I wish she had, I could have done something.

I put the coffee on and turn to see two figures asleep on the couch. Slowly, I creep closer to discover who it is but of course it Gem and Dan... Wait what?

Dan was asleep sitting upright with his head resting on his hand and his other hand rested near Gems shoulder with a few strands of her hair tangled around his fingertips. Gem layed with her head on a pillow on Dans lap and her body neatly slouched on the couch. One of Gems hands rested on the couch near Dans and her pinkie was wrapped by his now that I notice.

Should I wake them up? No that'll be awkward for all of us. Let them wake up on their own? No, Gem will say something stupid. Aha! I'll wake Dan up and tell him that I need his height and to leave Gem asleep.

"Psst! Dan! DANIEL!" I whisper yell and he slowly storrs awake after relentlessly poking his in the face.

"What?!" He whisper yells back in frustration then he comes to realise the girl laying on his lap. "Oh! Uh- umm... haha, I didn't do anything!"

I chuckle slightly. I love how his instant reaction is to defend himself it's so stupid.

"I figured but get up before the poor girl gets up and has a fucking heart attack because she fell asleep on you! I need your height anyway." I push and he gently and carefully stands up, placing Gems head and the pillow back in their place.

We take a few steps towards the kitchen and I take it as a chance to bug him.

"So what did you two do last night?" A smirk playing on my lips.

"We didn't do anything! Just watched anime, talked and hung out." He answers a little too quickly for my taste but whatever.

My eyes scan over the living room and I see one of my wine bottles moved out of its normal place.

"DID YOU TWO DRINK!?!" I nearly shout. It's so funny to mess with him, he makes it too easy.

" Well... yeah? But! We didn't get drunk! And we didn't drink alot of the bottle either!"

I chuckle again. Like I said too easy. I'm guessing he can tell by the expression on my face that I was just kidding and he glares at me playfully.

"You're an ass." Dan plainly states and I laugh a little too loud earning a groan from Gemma telling me to 'shut the fucking hell up'

Gems pov-

After loud laugh woke me up then I groggily joined the two in the kitchen and Phil shortly after that. We ate breakfast, talked and the three invited me to do a tumblr tag reaction to AOT fan art... let's just say I'm scared for life. Rob came to pick me up shortly after and we headed to the airport.

"Why are we going this way?" I ask and he grins at bit at me.

"We're headed to pick up Mitch and Jerome from the airport. They took a redeye last night so they could get here as quick as possible. They wanna see you since you were going to leave." His response making me nervous to see them.

"Oh.." Was all I answered.

After silently listening to the radio for another half hour I decided to speak again.

"Hey Robby?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you pull over so I can drive? I have my permit on me.." I ask his face written in confusion.

"You can drive? Since when?"

"When I was fourteen, I thought I was thirteen, I was talking to some friends who were all like 'I will drove to school isn't that great?' And was even asked to go see some illegal night time racing so I went. After a few hours of seeing the drivers and amazing cars I asked one to teach me to drive, he agreed to it if I helped him fix his day car so I agreed. After that I headed to a shotty DMV and got my learners. I'm pretty good at day driving, pretty great at racing." I said with a wink then indicated I was kidding about the racing part.

"I... Yeah, yeah I guess you can." He slowly pulled over and then we switched sides of the BMW. After adjusting the mirrors and my seat we were off again, me being guided by the GPS.

We pulled up to the airport and paid for parking before seeking out the two. When I saw them across the way I gulped and I could physically feel my eyes widen in fear. My hands were shaking.

"He won't hurt you. He knows you didn't mean it. He won't hurt you. He won't hurt you..." I continuously murmured to myself. Each step towards Mitch I became more afraid of what he could do.

"Hey Mitch!" Rob almost shouted from three feet away from him and the two guys. Mitchs eyes locked into me and he barely moved an inch when I clamped my eyes shut and flinched back. Next thing I know I'm being tightly squeezed by Mitch.

Slowly I become less tense and hug back just as tightly.

"Don't ever fucking do that. You are not the cause of any issue at all. Don't you ever fucking try to leave again! Please!" His voice shaky, partly with anger, partly with fear... a deadly combination in the wrong person.

"I'm sorry." I murmur against his chest. Best guardian/brother I've ever had before, ever. EVER.

We pull away from the hug then I get tackled by Jerome.

"Oof! Hi Fluffy." I chuckle and he chuckles too telling me that if I do that again he will hunt me down.

"C'mon, let's head back to the house, we all have packing to finish up, remember? We only have until November thirteenth and it's already October twenty first." Rob reminds and I nod.

After packing the bags into the trunk I take the keys from my pocket and hop into the drivers seat.

"Ummm...Gem? No offense but I don't feel like dying yet." Mitch nicely says but means 'Why the fuck are you in the driver's seat? You can't drive! You're going to kill us all.'

"Actually she can." Rob intervenes as I bring the engine to life. "I'll explain on the way home."
