I see you dancing in the flames. Like a mirage of all you were, reviving again before my eyes.
Under the deem light and the night skies, I go back to all the lies.

The you and me that could never be.

I stare at the candle as it's burning its life away, to accompany me on my most delightful task.
Remembering you.

Once more I have sprawled all the letters that I was never able to send, I surrounded myself with them in hopes of feeling better.
In hopes of meeting you.

All the roses I ever wanted you to hold, stand now withered around my desk. Time stays still in my melancholic corner.
Everything reminds me of how much my heart longs for you as well as how cowardly it is.
Loving you alone under the moonlight, and whispering my feelings to the breeze.

I have burned so many candles, just to observe your face, I have taken the lives of so many roses, just to smell your scent.

I have wasted my nights, ignoring the moon.
Thinking only of you and how our love doesn't have a coming soon.

For my eyes will never meet yours
My ship will never reach the shore
You were meant for another
And I for evermore.

My hand you will never hold
For your tongue can't even hold my name
While I bathe in yours all day
without shame.
