Waves i can not touch, waves i can not hold
Hiding within you, stories, tales untold

Your tears perfectly hidden, a drop in salty waters
I wish I could wipe them away, even if  nothing matters

You are not for me, a tree away from the sea
But from the high cliff that my roots are digged, I long for you, one leaf only if i could drip

You  are not for me, a tree away from the sky
And from the high cliff i am standing, it's time to say goodbye

Your waves furious grew, hitting the ground, rising so high
Don't try to come to me, i will not survive

A tree i am, too small for you
I will just remain here, watch over you

As your waves go away, at the endless vast of you
You are the sea, it was obvious, no one is meant to have you.

As you pull your water back, take my feelings with you
Take this longing and hope, let reality sink through

So close yet so far, i put my feelings in a jar
In your waters now there it flows
Take them with you, and i will watch it as it goes

I will not cry not even a bit, my salty drops you will never meet
Cause trees do not cry, they do not weep,
They just exist till they rip.

A happy sea i hope you areA tree is wishing you from afar

A happy sea i hope you areA tree is wishing you from afar
