"Oh, I get it." Chiharu nodded. "That makes it easier to translate."

"Right?" Yukino smiled as she tilted her head closer to him. "Aren't I a genius?"

"Tsk." He clicked his tongue. "Don't be conceited." He snorted.

"But I am, right?" She giggled. "I'm sure even you think so. I mean, I am the highest-scoring student in the school."

  "Next to Nia."

"NGH!" A feeling like an arrow stabbed through Yukino's chest.  "Yes..." she scowled. "Next to Nia! Always next to her ever since she-ahem," she cleared her throat to stop herself.

"Mmm. Well, I can say you're good at teaching," Chiharu sighed.  "But I can't say that you're a genius."

"Did he just compliment me!?" Yukino squealed internally in delight.

  "Th-Thank you." She stuttered.

"Tsk." He clicked his tongue. "Speak normally around me."

"H-Huh?" Her eyes met his, which were narrowed.

"You took advantage of me as a Human with your Alien ability." Chiharu started.

  "I-I know. I'm so-"

"You weren't embarrassed then, or even before when you first approached me." He cut her off. "So, why are you embarrassed now?"

  "Because...Because I-"

"After everything you did to me," for a brief moment, Yukino saw his eyes flicker a bright blue. "You aren't going to take responsibility?"

  "H-Huh!" Her face flushed red.

"You forced me to do heinous things, and after I gained my will, you act like a scared little mouse who cant approach or speak to me correctly."

  "O-Oh. That's what you meant."

"Why do you sound relieved? What else would I mean?" Chiharu snorted.

  "Nothing. It's just..."

"For a moment...you actually looked at me."

  "It's stupid." Yukino laughed sheepishly.

"Mmm. Well, if you say it's stupid, it probably is."

"That's a good boy." Yukino grinned. She felt better now. He said not to be embarrassed around him, so she wouldn't.

She didn't want to act normal. It was hard. Her natural personality and how she wanted to treat him made her heart ache and long for him. But she could tell he hated her nervous stutter, and she didn't want to upset him any further than he already was with her.

"You've already learned that everything I say is absolute." She smiled.

"Don't sound cocky about it, that's an extremely conceited disposition." Chiharu scowled.

"Is it wrong to know my worth?" Yukino frowned as she crossed her arms. "And do you not know yours?"

"Of course I do," Chiharu waved his hand dismissively before resting it against his desk with a fist pressed to his cheek. "I'm nobody. Nothing. An empty, hallowed Human that doesn't belong in society."

"H-Hey. You're being too hard on-"

"But, with Nia, I'm Chiharu Souta, the last Human on Earth who managed to find love with the most beautiful Alien." His cheeks blushed softly, and a small smile came to his face.
