Bellamy's pov

My father and I went to Fairfield, Iowa for some business investments. I had a few colleagues in town I had agreed to meet with when we were done with business. My father had passed reins to me a couple years ago but I still take him on business deals so that I have a second opinion and so he doesn't get lonely. All he's known since my mother passed was business deals, so it helps me and him. I had bought a house in town awhile ago for when I travel here, I loved the house but I traveled so much so I never get to enjoy its luxury. So this time I wanted to stay a few extra days and check in on the properties I was viewing to see if it would be a good investment. Our first stop was a elementary school, I was thinking of turning it into a restaurant. We headed straight to the school, the school was a quiet sale. They hadn't told anybody about selling, I assume because many would lose jobs. When we got there we met with a young woman, she was tall and frail with sandy brown, curly hair.

"Hello I'm Catalina, I'm the real estate agent" she said in a high pitched tone.
"Killian Rivera, this is my son Bellamy." My father said.
"I'm the buyer but my father used to be the owner before handing my the reins. I take him with for second opinions, he's really good at knowing if the investment will pay off or not." I said sternly. She nodded in understanding.
"Well let me take you on a tour, this is Washington Elementary School. They're an amazing school, I know first hand as my sister is the 4th grade math teacher. But when Fairfield Elementary School opened a lot of parents switched schools due to the updated structure causing Washington Elementary to lose a lot of money preventing them from be able to upgrade. I have so much faith in this school if they could have found the funds, they would've been amazing. The students love the teachers and the teachers love their jobs, now adays that's hard to come by. My sister has worked here for 7 years and she's never missed a day, when Fairfield elementary offered her a job she refused. She said she just couldn't leave behind what she and her coworkers have worked so hard to build. When she hears the school board voted to sell the school, she'll be devastated so will her students." She said quietly.
"Why haven't they told anybody they're selling?" I asked curiously.

"I believe the board said they wanted to wait until they found a buyer, I have no idea why. I have thought about telling my sister countless times but I don't want to be the one to break her heart. She and her coworkers all agreed to take a salary cut a year ago to save money for upgrades but it still isn't enough. If she heard they were selling she would probably work for free just to save the place." She said. I felt a little sad for her sister, it's hard to find workers like that. I pulled myself back together and reminded myself why I was here. She showed us around the school, it could use quite a bit of updates but it still seems functional to me.
"What do you think?" I asked looking at my father.
"I think it'd be a great investment. A restaurant in this location would bring in money. You could also update the school and bring in money, it'd just be a long process because you would have to find a temporary new location for the teachers and students to work while updates are done. I think restaurants your best option but either way it'd bring in money." He said confidently.
"How much are they wanting for it?" I asked.
"$176,000" she said.
"That's it? That's pretty low for a school." I said confused.
"I don't think they expect to get even that out of it" She said quietly.
"I'll give them $200,000 off the sale is finalized on Monday. I can come in Monday morning." I said. Her eyes bulged out of her head at my response.

"I'll make it happen! Do you still want to see the club?" She asked. I nodded. We went to the club, it was definitely a good investment. Everything was updated and running smoothly.
"Why are they selling?" I asked.
"The owner is moving out of state and just wants to retire so he's selling for $150,000." She said. I'm beginning to think they sell anything for dirt cheap here due to lack of confidence in their business.
"This is definitely a good investment son" My father said.
"I'll give him $200,000 as well" I said. She looked at me with wide eyes again. When we were done I met up with my colleagues, they were going to the club I was buying and invited me. I said no at first but hell I'm on vacation so I gave in. We got a spot in the VP section and I began drinking. After a few hours we were out of drinks, I volunteered to go get more mainly cause I needed some space to breathe. When I got to the counter I spotted a woman in a tan outfit, it exposed a lot of her skin. She was tan and gorgeous and her caramel colored hair flowed perfectly with her. When she glanced at me I noticed her eyes were winter grey, she was gorgeous.
"Can I buy you a drink?" I asked her.
"I'm ok, thank you though" she replied, there was a hint of anger in her voice.
"Are you okay?" I asked her curiously.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I had a bad day." She said quietly.
"Well I can make your night better" I said confidently.
"No offense but I was married until today and I'm just not interested in anything." She said.
"Do you want to talk about it? I'm a good listener" I said. She looked at me hesitantly.
"I walked in on my husband and best friend today" She said quietly. I was baffled, who would cheat on her? She's gorgeous.
