A small girl sits on a throne with her feet propped up. She has a glass of dark red wine in her hands.

"Give me my crown and I'll give you the key you've been looking for" she says.

I don't trust it. And judging by the looks on Ajax and Xavier's faces, they don't either.

We were never exactly given a clear description on Aria. Just that she runs the place.

She fiddles with some rusty key as the three of us exchange looks. What exactly do we have to loose? It's not like we will die. I can use my magic to fuck her up if she touches me or my boys.

She is wearing yellow and blue jester like clothes.

"She reminds me of The Gamemaster" Ajax says as I give him a look.

"From the backrooms. Except her face isn't a digital screen" Ajax explains as I mumble incoherent words to myself.

I didn't realize I was zoned out until I notice the girl has the crown on her head.

"Ajax... Honey... I don't think she's Aria" I mumble to him.

"Yes she is" Ajax says.

"The key matches the lock" Xavier says.

"How could you possibly know that? " I ask as they smile and grab each of my hands. They walk me to the front gate as Xavier unlocks it with ease.

As we step out of the carnival, the sun starts to rise.

I blink a few times as I start to think that I dreamt it all. How did they know for sure she was Aria? Was it cause she mentioned the key? It doesn't make sense! Sure I trust both of them, but how the hell would they know something without context to it?

She wasn't a bitch, nor was she scary. So how was that possibly her... Unless... Oh my god!

Alastor! That fucking dick! He lied to me! He wanted to scare me, have me stay longer than necessary. He tried to throw me off course.

How come I trusted his description? Why? Just why did I?

As we take the path back to my house, I get pissed at myself for ever trusting Alastor. He tried to scare me in the first place, so why did I decide to take his word?

As we enter my house, I sigh as I head straight to my room. Ajax and Xavier get concerned, but they come to the conclusion that I just need to rest for a bit.

Oliver emerges from his own room. He has been home from his job for a week now, and might stay for another.

"Is Y/n okay? " he asks Ajax and Xavier as they shrug.

"Maybe. Had a long night last night. She might he tired" Ajax says.

"You mean you guys were out of the house all night? Could have told me" Oliver says.

"Well... We spent the night at a haunted carnival, and we are all okay" Xavier states as Oliver sighs.

"I swear if I need to put some sort of tracker on the two of you, I will be pissed. Now where is my cat Crimson? I need to feed him" Olive asks as Ajax points at the sleeping cat on the couch.

A bit later I am shaken awake by Ajax as I am created by the smell of my favorite food.

I slowly sit up and move my hair out of my face.

"Eat up. We wanna take you somewhere. And no not that fucking carnival. We might burn it to the ground however, it seemed to have upsetted you" Ajax says as I shake my head.

"No. Don't burn it down. Let someone else find it, who knows, maybe Sam and Colby will end up making a video about it" I say as Ajax smiles.

"Yea... Sure. Maybe" he says.
