"She's gonna be okay right?" Jeongguk frantically asked as the paramedics brought Lisa into the emergency room on a stretcher, "IS SHE GONNA BE FUCKING OKAY?!"
"Jeongguk," Namjoon grabbed onto his shoulders, "Calm down."
"She needs emergency surgery." One of the paramedics told them, "You all need to wait out here until she comes out of the operating room."
Seconds in the waiting room passed slowly. Then minutes. Then hours.
"Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin?" A nurse called out into the waiting area. The two stood immediately along with Jeongguk, who hadn't spoke for hours.
"Tell me she's alive." Seokjin wiped the tears off his skin.
"She's stable." The nurse smiled softly, "You can come see her if you'd like."
Jeongguk practically ran to her room opening to the door to find Lisa laying in a hospital bed, "Lisa.." Jeongguk breathed out. He pulled the closest chair up to her bed and grabbed her hand.
"Jeongguk," She whispered, her eyes still closed, "I'm sorry."
"You didn't do anything-"
"I could've gotten you killed." She finally looked at him, tired eyes meeting his, "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry. You quite literally took a bullet for me." Jeongguk laughed quietly as he stroked her hair, "You really are fearless."
"I never would have forgiven myself if that bullet had hit you." Lisa rasped, "I can't believe it even got to that point-"
"Jesus Lisa, we thought we'd lost you." Seokjin said as he stood in the doorway with the rest of the members.
Lisa closed her eyes again, feeling tired, "You're not getting rid of me that easily, dad."
Seokjin felt like crying. She called him dad. She was beginning to trust them.
"You're not going anywhere." Namjoon added.
"I'm sorry you all got wrapped up into that." She whispered softly.
"What was all that?" Seokjin questioned, "Who were they?"
"It's a long story-"
"We have time." Namjoon said, "We have nothing but time."
Lisa sighed, "They're just some jackasses from back in Thailand." She explained, "We were in opposing..." She stopped short before clearing her throat, "...groups. Ever since I moved to Korea he's been looking for me."
"But he was gonna shoot Jeongguk. Why would he do that?" Taehyung questioned.
"He thinks Jeongguk's my boyfriend. He's always hated the idea of me having a boyfriend." She shrugged.
"He thinks I'm your boyfriend?" Jeongguk lifted his head off Lisa's lap and looked at her.
"Go back to sleep." She placed her hand gently on his cheek, "You look exhausted."
He ignored her proposal to go back to sleep, "He was gonna kill me because I'm your-" Stopping himself, he sighed, "Because he thinks I'm your boyfriend?"
"I guess so."
"Jesus Jeongguk," Namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose with a sigh, "You're whipped."
Jeongguk glared the elder's way, "Oh you mother fucker-"
"Enough you two." Seokjin rolled his eyes, "Lisa needs to rest. We all do."
With the exception of Lisa's parents and Jeongguk (of course), everyone had gone home to sleep.
"Do you think she knows?" Seokjin whispered to his husband.
They were sat in a chair across the room from Lisa's stretcher where she and Jeongguk had fallen asleep.
Namjoon looked at him, "That he's in love with her?" He glanced at them again, "She has no idea."
"I didn't think you could fall in love so young." Jin shook his head with a small smile, "They proved me wrong."
"Do you think she knows that she's in love with him too?" Namjoon asked.
"She knows. She just doesn't want to admit it. Not out loud. Not to anyone. Not to herself." He replied quietly.
"He's so good for her." Joon smiled, "He'd do anything for her. He admires her. He pays attention to her, he listens to her, he cares for her. He loves her."
"I won't allow anyone other than Jeongguk to be with Lisa." Seokjin said, "It wouldn't be right."
"I second that."
"Do you two ever shut up?" Jeongguk whispered from across the room.
"You're awake?
"Unfortunately."
"Did we wake you?" Seokjin sighed.
"Yes." Jeongguk deadpanned, "The whole 'he's so in love with her' conversation woke me right up."
The room was silent for a few moments before Seokjin spoke up, "Don't hurt her."
Jeongguk looked repulsed. Almost offended, "What?"
"Don't hurt her." He pleaded, "Don't you dare."
"Don't worry," Jeongguk said, "I would kill myself before I ever even began to think of hurting this beautiful girl."
