In the middle of Musutafu, located at the top of the forested hill that overlooks the city of Musutafu, there's a school that is known around the world as the best school for its hero students' reputation called UA. UA is the #1 ranked high school for heroics and is considered the top Hero Academy in Japan.
UA is renowned for having trained and produced some of the best heroes in Japan, including All Might, Endeavour, and Best Jeanist. All of whom earned their way into the top 10 of Japan's Hero Ranking.
Located at the top of the hill, with a huge gate that has the writing of UA on the top of it in gold. Most of the students were flowing in ready for today's class.
UA itself has changed since the war began about eight months ago. The building still looks the same with four different buildings connected together, filled with multiple facilities and training grounds for all of the students. The student's course is separated into four categories of hero course, support course, management course, and general studies course.
The front gate is now being guarded with four robots that check on the student's ID before entering and patrolling around the area. The students are still not getting used to the new security system that's being placed in. They felt that it was almost like they went into a prison or something.
The hot sun hit them with a blast as they walked across the lawns toward their classroom or dorm. Students lie around on the grass sunbathing, talking, reading the Hero News, and eating sweets. Some of them looked up at their friends as they passed. Some called out or else waved, clearly eager to show that they, like the rest of them had ready themself for this year's semester.
As the students passed around the entrance, there was a loud boom coming from the Gym Gamma located right behind the school building. There's a small shaking activity right in the building followed by a red light coming from the window.
Gym Gamma consists of a large, empty, and enclosed space. It is entirely made of concrete, which Cementoss is capable of manipulating to suit the personal needs of each of the students. Normally, students tend to use this facility to train for their special move or if there's a rescue class that's not being held in USJ. But right now, it's nothing but a gruesome battle filled with smoke and fire.
Most of the space has been covered in canyons made out of concrete and there's clearly a battle going on with cracks appearing from the floor and fire swirling right in the middle. The lights were turned off and the only thing illuminating the facility was just the fire coming from the ground. Almost all of the students are already defeated and there are only a few of them left in the ground.
Right in the middle of the smoke, one student walked slowly while trying to find someone in a cloud of smoke. He walked slowly trying to eye the shadow forming on his front. He squinted his eyes and found a shadow forming right in front of him. It wasn't cleared, but it's definitely a person and it's coming close.
The student quickly used his quirk to harden his skin and try to tackle the mysterious person down to the ground. He rushed in while yelling out in the middle of the smoke when the shadow managed to evade him making him falter to the ground with his face first.
"What the, it's me!!" the mysterious person whispered who appeared to be a girl with a ponytail on her back.
"Oh sorry, I thought it was.." the hardening boy apologized and quickly got up.
"Yeah... I know. We haven't heard from the others. Either they got defeated or their communicator is broken. I guess there's only the two of us who's left." she whispered while looking around the smoke to find any movement and covering their faces from the smoke polluting their noses.
"Dammit, you're telling me that all of us got defeated so easily right from the start." the boy quietly yelled out in frustration.
They got on each other's backs trying to find the mysterious assailant but the smoke combined with the fire made it harder for them to breathe. Although the fire isn't erupting from their side of the area, the heat is still enough for them to breathe.
Then right in the middle, a flickering light emerges from the smoke making them realize that their assailant just revealed himself right during the commotion.
"It's him. Definitely." the boy rushes in while hardening his skin trying to tackle the assailant.
"Wait, it might be a trap," she warned but the boy didn't listen as he ran while trying to land a solid right hook when suddenly the flame dyed out nowhere to be found.
"What the?" the boy shook his head around when suddenly a strong kick swiped into his gut knocking him to the ground.
The girl didn't have time to react when someone came from behind and tried to land a punch to her head. She, however, managed to see the attack and managed to block it at the last second but didn't see a left kick throw her off the balance and she fell on the floor face up and a hand igniting right in her face just a few centimeters away for her to feel the heat radiating from it and the other pinned her on the floor.
"You're dead." the mysterious assailant said not lowering his palm to her face.
She watched the hand just a few centimeters from her face as she was forced to accept her fate. She raises both of her hands in defeat matter while exhaling her breath in annoyance.
"I lost," she admitted.
Then the light switched turned on and the flames went dyed out as the man absorbed the flames from his palm sucking the heat away from the facility. The rest of the students who got defeated went on the side tending to their injury and groan in pain. The injury itself was nothing but bruised and minor, nothing is fatal and could cause a permanent injury.
Then the man who played the assailant grabbed something from his coat and drank its contents. He gulped the content in one fell swoop before closing it and putting it back in his pocket
"You went out to reveal your position too fast and too easy to detect. Some of you are too eager to rush in just because they spotted me which is not. But other than that, your guard is getting better." he extended his hand trying to pick her up from the ground.
She took the offer grabbed his hand and pulled herself up watching her classmate groan in pain with some of them lying on the ground compressing their bruise with a pack of ice.
"Get changed. Your next class is starting in fifteen minutes." the teacher heads back to the exit door.
"Yes, sensei." the students groan while still lying on the floor.
The ponytail girl dusted herself from the dirt and smoke on her clothes and body. She placed her wrist on her nose and smelled the thick smell of smoke stitching on her gym clothes. Guess the rest of them also smell like they just came out from a Korean barbeque place. She went out to check on her class situation when she spotted a clipboard in the sitting area near her classmate. She guessed that it belonged to him so she picked it up and called out to him before he went far.
"Sensei wait," she called him while running in his direction.
He turned his head around and saw his students running in his direction carrying the clipboard.
"You forgot something." she gave the clipboard back to him and he took it and saw that it belonged to him. It's a paper to grade the student's performance for today's test.
"Guess I left it on the chair. Thanks, Kendo." she thanked her before heading back to the teacher's room.
"No problem, Midoriya sensei." she greeted him back before heading to the gym to check on her class.
