Chapter 54 What Past is Prologue

Endeavor is leading the attack against the straggler of those pesky zombies who got mixed in between the Hades Army as he's trying to thin out the number of herds that are approaching the city from their line.

Their group is spreading in a horizontal line manner as they are trying to contain the numbers of the enemy and to keep the perimeter in check in case anyone is trying to escape from the crowd with Endeavor joining on the center of the line.

He was trying to keep the focus of the enemy in their group so that Izuku could sneak into the Might Tower and fight Bakugou one-on-one. Of course, he was with a few heroes to accompany him. He takes a small but powerful team to help him with the job just in case there are a few stragglers that get in the way. Izuku had told everyone that he'd be the one that take on Bakugou, and he wouldn't let anyone take his mark.

Standing on the battlefield, he takes command of the battle while battling against a few of the Hades Army leftovers. If his calculations were correct, then there should be almost twenty percent left and after they are done, they can launch an assault at their stronghold.

"Endeavor, we're about just done right now. Should we move forward?" His sidekick went to ask after seeing the situation.

Endeavor is just about and give the command when suddenly the ground shakes. He looks to his right and sees a small explosion made by the gust of wind causing everyone near to get blown away.

"What is going on?!" Endeavor shouts through his communicator.

"Endeavor- Something is going on. Wait how is-" Then the sound gets muffled by static as they see something big approaching them.

"ENDEAVOR!!! THIS IS BAD!!!! IT'S-!!!!!"

Izuku and the rest continue to run through the Might Tower knowing that their infiltration mission is a success since they haven't seen or seen anyone approach them since they came here.

Izuku continued to run climbing the stairs with Hisoka trailing behind him and Mirko, Edgeshot, Izumi, and Present Mic following trying to keep up with his pace as they were looking a bit tired from climbing the hundreds of stairs steps their way.

"Dammit, remind me again why can't we teleport using your quirk?" Mirko's pants look a bit exhausted despite the great amount of stamina she has as a hero.

"Because we want to keep my strength in case we need to make an immediate escape. Teleporting continuously is causing a great amount of energy and we're gonna need as much as we can to deal with this asshole." Hisoka replied.

"Still, couldn't you teleport us a bit closer to his office perhaps?" Mirko grunts.

"I thought you pro heroes are supposed to build to be tough. Is climbing a few staircases too much for someone like you? But I guess age is an issue for women such as your age." Hisoka snorts.

"Knock it off, we need to keep moving." Izuku retorts.

Then suddenly the lights were all turned off causing them to look alarmed by the situation wondering if they got caught in a trap.

"What the, where are all the lights?!" Present Mic looks over trying to spot in the dark.

Out of a sudden, Izuku saw flashes of light reflected toward him as he quickly pushed those who were near him and drew his machete to block the attack as it was a blade swinging towards him as well.

"Everyone get back!!" Izuku warned them but the assailant is pushing the blade against him causing him to fall from the staircase.

He took a battle stance pointing his machete towards the assailant as he jumped from the stairs and tried to slash him only for Izuku to defend against it for the second time. The rest of the heroes are having a hard time adjusting their eyes to the dark but Izuku is much faster to react and manages to defend against the assailant. If he were one second late then his life would be on the board.
