Author's pov

"And this one? She looks somewhat familiar!" Taehyung picked up yet another one of Jade's photographs. This one showed a woman handing money to a person in a car, which was parked in what looked like their school parking lot.

They have been at it for hours. Sure, the boy was trying to distract her from the heartbreak she just endured but in all honesty, he was more than captured by Jade's artistry. The photos, unique and full of emotion, some of them sad (like that one with the little girl crying after she fell and hurt her knee), others funny as hell (a man fighting off a seagull) and some just beautiful (sunsets, sunrises and everything in between). How could she possibly see all of that? How was she able to capture those exact moments?

Then this thought downed on him: Jade was invisible to the normal human eye. She could sit back and observe without people batting an eye at her. She blended in any background with ease and she observed. She was always watching.

At that point he couldn't help but wonder if she ever watched him.

"She should be. It's professor Yun." She further explains.

"Our music teacher? No way that's Susie Yun." He countered while bringing the photo closer.

"It's her. Couldn't believe it myself at first."

"You know what she's doing, right? That's Ji-yong's car." A car he'd been in way too many times.

"She's probably buying some prescribed and totally legal colon medicine."

Taehyung laughs at that. Like really laughs. Belly shaking and all. She was too nice. Too easy to tease. Is she for real?

"You could do some real damage with this." He was fanning himself with said photo.

"Not planning to. She's one of the nice teachers." Always kind. Always too nice.

"Probably because of all that weed she's smoking!"

"Tae!"

"What? You took the photo! Not me."

She snatched the picture from his hand and stacked it with the rest. Then she smiled. It was weak and it disappeared quickly but it was there. Taehyung couldn't help but feel a bit victorious after seeing it.

Wait and see, Jade Park. I'll watch you too from now on.

Then she began to tap her foot lightly on the floor, busing herself with rearranging the pictures.

"What is it?" Taehyung's deep voice filled the short lived silence.

While people from school wouldn't notice Jade at all, Taehyung was slowly developing a new passion for analyzing every single one of the girls reactions.
Her small, short breaths when she was annoyed, chewing her bottom lip meant she was busy debating something important and tuning out the world. She would roll her eyes as a mean to resist laughing at his often stupid jokes and now, the way she's avoiding his gaze, means she's turning shy.

"Nothing."

That's deflection. It's definitely something.

"Come on, Einstein. What is it. Out with it."

She sighs. And...

"I've never done it." She confessed.

The boy almost choked on the thick air filling that dusty shed. A thousand things that Jade Park could have never done went through his mind so he had to ask.
