Taehyung's PoV
"Friday night. After your tutoring. Yoongi's place." I inform her after receiving my homework. "The perfect event to teach you your second lesson."
Meeting under the old maple tree, right outside school grounds, we're still trying to avoid getting seen together. I really don't care about that, but she insisted.
Wait a second. Shouldn't I be the one ashamed of being seen with her, and not the other way around?Jade Park. The school's nerd. Studying might be the only thing she's good at. Should I feel guilty about blackmailing her into doing some of my school work? Probably. But I don't.
I stand in front of her, expecting to hear a negative response and like the miss-goody-two-shoes she is, she never disappoints.
"I can't." She lets out with a sigh. "And second lesson? When did we have the first one?" She asks with Bambi eyes, big and round, her thick glasses making them seem even bigger.
"First lesson was small talk, genius." She looks clueless, so I go on. "Talking about one's likes and dislikes. I like green. You like blue. Don't you remember? Back in your bedroom.."
"Taehyung! Lower your voice." She panics. "Someone might hear and totally misunderstand."
"Misunderstand? How would they misunderstand?"
Come on, Bambi. Say it. I dare you.
"Well... you know, they might think, you know... that you and I... you know!" she clears her throat awkwardly.
I knew she wouldn't be able to say it. Her shyness is on another level. Actually, I don't think I ever saw a girl blush like that.
"What? That we're hooking up?" I finish the assumption instead and her face turns bright pink. "Trust me, Einstein, nobody would misunderstand that about you and I." I chuckle away the thought. "So, are you coming?"
"I told you. I can't." She replies while looking at her wrist watch. Miss perfect wouldn't want to be late to Math class, would she?
And it's not that she can't, she just won't. She doesn't want to step out of her comfort zone and I don't why, but it doesn't sit well with me. Why should she be shielded of the outside world? Standing up there on her book pedestal, thinking she's better than everyone else just because she's got good grades. I honestly don't even know why I still bother, she's such a stuck up.
Small.
Weak.
Predictable.
"Why are you such a stuck up?" I try to pick at her insecurities.
"I am not. It's just that I have to study. I have a Bio test on Monday." She sneers. "And didn't Min Yoongi graduated last year?"
"Precisely. And that's exactly why this will be the good kind of party." With real booze.
"I don't know." She looks at her shoes, while moving around some dirt on the ground. "I don't think I'm ready for a party yet."
I smile to myself, knowing that once I pull out my secret weapon, she would immediately change her mind.
"Namjoon's coming."
She lifts her gaze from the ground and looks at me, searching for a any sign of untruthfulness. Once she realises I'm not lying, a shy smile stars growing on her lips.
