Many reversals passed again.

Riley continued down the path of killing seeing as it had almost worked last time. He killed his friends again and again, but every new reversal, the pain was less than previously. He slowly began to lose himself and why he was doing this all, becoming too focused on getting rid of Rusty for good.

Rusty allowed for Riley get a head start and gave him enough time to kill everyone before they caught up. There was no need for a Crystal Caverns encounter, since they knew what was coming. The thrill of something new meant Rusty had a reason to come back.

After a while, Riley realised that just like before, Rusty was starting to win more quickly. He ended up resorting to some plans he used back when he was still pathetically weak. Using devices he had invented or some forbidden things. He never got help from his friends. After all, they'd be better use towards him getting stronger instead of being another distraction.

Yet again, the two killers, with two different goals in mind, stood before each other. They had clashed forty-eight times, with twenty-three of those being after Riley decided to start his own massacre.

"You know the drill." Rusty said. "Let's fight, I'll kill you, and it's all over again."

"Don't be too confident. I can assured that I still have a chance of winning." Riley replied.

"Oh really." Rusty scoffed to Riley's response. "I'd like to see you try."

In an instant, the two began to give their all. Riley unleashing his usual barrages of attacks, while Rusty was dodging them all and dealing blows back to him. Everything that Riley was doing, had been done the last twenty-three times, so they knew where every attack was going.

"You need to stop repeating yourself. It's getting too predictable."

"Funny you should say that. I've already came up with new things this time round."

Immediately, Riley threw his hand to the ground, powered up with energy. The Legends Hall collapsed in on the murderers, burying them underneath the rubble. Riley emerged from the rubble, unscathed. He had teleported out of harms way before it all landed on them. He hoped that it may have crushed Rusty in the process, and maybe even killing them for good. But he was still expecting them to emerge from the rubble as well, which made it no surprise when they did.

"Nice move, but it's gonna take a lot more than that."

"Oh, there is, I can tell you."

Riley pulled a large piece of the rubble from the ground and launched it at Rusty. There was nothing they could do, as it hit them in less than 3 seconds. However, they didn't flinch as it exploded as it collided with them, as if the rubble was a person and Rusty was the rubble.

Knife in hand, Rusty ran at Riley who responded with a sword to meet the knife. Putting all of his effort into it, he used his sword and knocked Rusty into the main building of the Academy. Slamming through the roofs of the Academy, they finally halted when they landed in the room containing the main pillar. They could just barely see Riley standing a bit back from the entrance to the building, and was just barely able to hear him say "How bout a taste of your own medicine!"

A Death Blaster appeared and fired Rusty. Well, that's what they thought anyway. The energy of the blast zipped past them and they turned back to him.

"You may be stronger, but you still need to fix your aim." Rusty shouted.

"Oh, I wasn't aimed for you." Riley yelled back. "Why don't you turn around."

Rusty turned and the realisation of what he aimed for entered him. The main pillar was falling apart and the building was about to collapse any second. They attempted to make a dash for it, but Riley had anticipated this. Spikes covered all the exits of the room, leaving Rusty powerless in trying to escape. The main building of the Academy fell on top of them, as if the Legends Hall falling on top of them wasn't enough already.
