Another midnight update!!! I. Need. Sleep. Oh well. Ignore the typos!

************

Maddy Harper:

Hey Albert! Umm, i need to speak with u today. Park sound like a good place?

Albert West:

Eh, wat about my place? Parents gonna be gone today.

Maddy Harper:

Ok. Cya soon......

I sighed and put my phone down. I really needed to get my lazy tail out of bed, but it was summer. Time to relax. But the smell of bacon always makes it hard to stay in bed, and it's also hard to stay in bed when your little sister keeps pounding on the door every five seconds.

"WAKE UP!!" Lily practically screamed as she banged her fists on my door.

"Stop before you bust down the door! And please, shut up before you wake the neighbors!"

I got up and got dressed. I went downstairs, and saw Lily happily eating bacon, and Krisy drinking some coffee.

I went over to the coffee pot and poured me a cup. Krisy raised a brow. "I didn't know you drink coffee."

I sipped some. "It's going to be a long day, and I need all the energy I can get."

Krisy chuckled. "Where are you going?"

"Down to Albert's place. Only take a few minutes."

"Don't get into any fights this time," Lily piped up.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, well if no-"

"Maddy," Krisy said in her warning tone.

"If no people start the fights, I won't fight."

* ****************

I stepped into Albert's house.

"Hey," he greeted as he brushed some of his black hair out of his eyes.

"Hay is for horses," I muttered.

"Why no smile-y face or kissy face at the end of your text? Just a dot dot dot dot dot dot...."

"Ok! I get it. I just wasn't in the mood."

"Aww. What's wrong? On your monthly?"

I scowled. "No. Some how Eddie and Cole know about my, past. Can you explain how they know?"

He went pale. I couldn't believe it. What those jerks said was true. Albert, my boyfriend that I loved, went behind my back and told them. Everything.

"Why did you do it?" I started to cry. "Why?"

"I-I- I don't know. They said if I told them about you, I would get my reward."

"What reward is that, traitor?" I asked him.

Albert saw how hurt I was. He reached out and cupped my face in his hands.

"Don't!" I said turning away from him.

"Alright. I see how it is. You're gonna treat me like this, just because I told them your past! What could they do?"

"Everything! Albert....I just....I just hate you!"

I felt a sting on my face. I then regreted what I had said. I knew Albert had anger problems.

Followed by the slap, were punches. I touched the corner of my mouth, to find it bleeding.

"I hate you too, Maddy. Just leave."

And that's what I did.

I ran down the streets of the city. Some people starred. I ignored them.

Then one person caught my arm. I didn't even look who it was. "Let me go!"

The person dragged me into an alley. It was a guy from school I have seen before. He never was so friendly to me, so we kept our distance.

"What happened to you?" He asked suddenly.

"I don't want to talk about it."

He just nodded his head. "I don't think we have ever properly met before. I'm Timothy Dale."

"Maddy Harper."

"Maddy Harper," he echoed me, "Seems like I have heard that name before. Huh."

I tried to leave, but he stood in the way. "Alright, now that we have introduced ourselves, get out of my way!"

"I'm not leaving until you tell me what happened."

"Why do you want to know?"

Timothy just stood there, looking like a deer in headlights. "Just tell me who did this to you."

"A jerk."

"Figures," he said sighing, "Is that all I'm gonna get out of you?"

I nodded. "Ok. Do you need me to take you anywhere, just in case that jerk comes back?"

"No. I am perfectly fine," I lied.

Timothy just nodded. He left me, and I was on my way to Lisa's house.

When I got there, I told her everything. She also knew how Albert had anger issues, but she always thought he would never lash out on me. It was good to pour out all my feelings to my one and only friend.

"And get this," I sniffled from crying, "This guy named Timothy Dale, who has been not very friendly to me in the past, actually asked what was wrong and how I got hurt!"

Lisa looked off into space. "Weird."

I nodded. "I'm wondering why Albert even talked to jerks like Eddie and Cole...." Lisa murmured.

"Who cares? My heart has been ripped into two, ran over by a semi truck, and stomped on by Albert. Who gives a crap anymore?"

Lisa hugged me. "I know what it's like to be dumped."

Lisa did have a boyfriend once. And believe it or not, it was Cole. Then he started hanging out with Eddie who already abused me, and Lisa and Cole got into a big fight. Cole did no harm to her, but threatened to in the future. So far, the worse he has done is a few punches, and even then he looks like he regrets doing that.

"But you don't know what it feels like to be betrayed!"

Lisa thought for a moment. "Well, sort of. I mean, going off to be best friends with my best friend's abuser already knowing he abuses her is sort of betraying me."

"I guess," I mumbled getting off of her bed. "I probably should be heading back. Any more blood?"

She shook her head. I turned to leave when she yelled, "Maddy?"

"Yeah?"

"Call me if any jerks come and attack you like drunk maniacs."

"They are always drunk maniacs in my book, and I will!"
