Beta's POV:

Koda looked so serious,his hands pointing different areas in the large map laid in front of the meeting table. The light went off as koda went to the projector and an image of the western region came up lighting the entire room.

"A unit from the border......" Koda's voice trailed off in my head as I stared at all the men in the room. We were planning an attack on the western region soon,notorious for housing rogues. Everyone seemed focused,wanting to know their stand and when to come in except one man who kept staring at the clock. My alpha.

Every minute he'd sigh and look away,his eyes closed trying to contain his anger. And when he'd open his eyes,he would stare at the clock and stare at Koda before looking away. It was funny to watch,knowing fully well he could snap at any moment. He wanted to be with his mate,and Koda was making it difficult by talking about the western region.

I had to stifle a laugh when I looked at Koda and saw him dabbing the sweat off his forehead,even with the icing coldness of the room,he was still sweating. He knew how angry the alpha could get in minutes. I could tell I wasn't the only one having fun with the situation,the others seemed to be teasing him,asking questions to make him delay......

"Koda." Alpha's commanding voice boomed through the big meeting hall. The air became cold and hard to breathe,so silent you could hear a pin drop. No one knew what to expect.

"Yes. Alpha." He said slowly,his voice calm. But I could tell he wasn't. I could hear his voice in my head almost immediately.

Ever since he found his mate,I've been getting into his bad books lately.

I mind linked him immediately,seeing Koda on edge made me wanna laugh.

Guess he's gonna snap your neck this time,you have been blabbing non-stop.

I looked away,trying to hide the laughter that seemed to want to burst out.

" Koda." Alpha called again " Go straight to the point." He said so calmly it sounded threatening.

"But alpha,this is the point." Koda said and there were more stifles of laughter from every corner,he looked from the projector back to our alpha,unsure of what to do.

Alpha stood up calmly,giving him a nod to continue. I could see the relief on Koda's face as he continued explaining his plan. I watched my alpha stalk to the closed window,his hands behind his back as he looked outside,his facial expression was one of a bored child.

I watched his eyebrows arch downwards in curiosity at first and I slowly stood up,then his expression changed from one of curiosity to great anger. I walked up to him and saw that his eyes had turned black.

I looked outside the window,staring far ahead into the snow I could see someone running,the person looked so small but yet ran so fast. The person had on a hospital gown and then I saw the hair. That sharp gold that you couldn't miss.

Great goddess, the Luna was running away.

Alphas sudden growl shook the entire hall and he stormed out of the hall. I followed too,running with my alpha.

We got to the step and Alpha jumped the railing and changed mid air. He landed gracefully,his black fur glistening in the light and Koda jumped too,changing into his wolf.

I jumped too and landed on Koda's wolf. But I didn't change,somehow I felt she didn't know who we were,what we were .And if she saw a million wolfs chasing her she could have a heart attack. At least I needed to be human for her mental state. Alphas wolf had taken over, and now I couldn't reason with him. He just wanted his mate. In no time we were out of the palace and heading into the cold forest.

We were much chasing after the Luna . I figured that Koda must have mind linked many warriors,my Alpha growled so loud,snows that settled on trees fell on us.

Alpha must have seen her cause he increased speed,and Koda increased speed in no time and others followed suit. But I was worried about something,if the Luna saw so many of us,so many wolfs,she would be more frightened. But I didn't know what to do,my alpha wasn't in the right mind to understand. His wolf had taken over.He growled again and trees shook and I saw her look back quickly and increased her speed.

I could see her in sight,running with such speed. I watched her trip and roll down the ice when my alpha growled and I heard my alpha growl again. She stood up almost immediately and kept on running.

Koda mind-linked both me and my alpha immediately

The snow is deep and she's heading for the cliff. Alpha she could get buried in it.

Those words were enough for my alpha,he sped quickly to her and jumped. She turned immediately and shrieked,shutting her eyes immediately waiting for my alpha to pounce and tear her in pieces.

He changed mid air,catching her and both of them rolling on the snow till they came to a stop with her on top of him.

Her eyes widened in utter disbelief,for a second she seemed lost in his presence,her eyes wouldn't leave his. Her brows furrowed in confusion and then utter horror as she tried to pull away from him but he wouldn't budge.

Almost immediately her eyes went a bit down and only then did she realize she was on top of a naked man. Her eyes widened more as she became stiff on top of him,her cheeks turned a bright red and I wasn't sure if it was because of embarrassment or she was shy.

She closed her eyes with her already freezing palm and alpha chuckled,obviously enjoying his mates reactions .

Wait....

Alpha chuckled in so many years.....
