Once Nya has erected shields strong enough to keep the growing darkness from penetrating her mind, she sets herself to the task at hand. Finding Videk Beroya and bringing him before the Mand'alor. Although Ursa, Bo-Katan, and others attempt to stop her, Nya pays them no heed. If there was one thing that was easily seen about the former Jedi, it was that she is stubborn, and won't back down. A trait her mother also possesses.

So, being unable to dissuade her, Bo-Katan allows Nya to head one of the search parties looking for Videk. The young woman selects Sarai Naak's younger sister, Liza, Akaan Vigg, Eyn Takur, Ebin Kaden, and Olan Jair to be on her search party. Once the other young warriors are notified, the three different teams, headed by Nya Kryze, Sabine Wren, and Tristan Wren, take off in different directions, scanning the area surrounding Sundari.

Each member of the search party is assigned a partner by Nya, that way there are not alone. Akaan and Liza are assigned partners, Ebin and Olan are assigned partners, and Nya assigns herself and Eyn as partners. The three pairs spread out, not so far out they cannot see each other, but far enough apart that each pair is scanning a different area.

"Status report," Nya says as the pairs fly over a valley at least half a day's walk from Sundari.

"Negative here," Liza says.

"Negative," Olan tells her. "There's nobody out here."

Nya considers her options for a moment. They can turn back and call it a day since they've been flying for several hours, or they can go a little farther and turn back soon.

"Gev skotah ca'nara," Nya barks out.

All six Mandalorians stop in mid air, then they fly down to the surface of the planet. Once they land, Nya removes her helmet and begins to adjust her rangefinder, which also includes an antenna for longer distance communications. After it has been adjusted to fit Nya's purpose, she places her helmet onto her head once again and ensures that the Mandalorians with her cannot hear what she is saying. Then she comms Tristan and Sabine. It doesn't take them long to answer.

"Nya," Sabine asks, "what do you need?"

"Have you seen anything?" she asks.

"Negative," Tristan reports, his sister's report being the same.

Nya sighs, "We haven't seen anything either. How far out from Sundari are the two of you?"

"The wind has been with us so far, so I'd say probably three-quarters of a day's walk," answers Tristan.

"Half a day's walk."

Nya nods, even though she knows that her cousins cannot see her actions. "We're about half a day's walk out too. I think we better call it for today and do a shuttle drop tomorrow so we can go even further out."

"We're going to do one more sweep a few miles ahead, then we're going to turn back," Sabine says.

"All right, copy that, Sabine. Tristan?"

"We stopped and landed when you commed, all of us are going to head back. If we go too much further, we'll be spending the night out here."

"Okay, copy that. We'll see you back in Sundari."

"Copy. Tristan, out."

"Sabine, out."

Now that the comm conversation is over, Nya switches her helmet's setting back so that her group can hear her.

"All right, we're heading back in."
