Chapter Eleven: Maul

As they approach the planet of Mandalore, Nya brings the ship out of hyperspace and she and Obi-Wan Kenobi prepare for landing. Thankfully, Death Watch and the crime syndicates used to take over the planet are only patrolling the cities. Not the rest of the planet.

"Where are they?"

Nya turns to look at the Jedi Master. "An old Mandalorian settlement. It was abandoned after Sundari was constructed, but it's still standing. Most of it anyway. And there are old tunnels underneath the town that go into the mountain, that's likely where they are actually hiding."

"And our reception?"

Nya shrugs. "Mine, pretty warm. Yours... eh, it depends. Buir will likely vouch for you, but with some that I think are there, that will only do so much."

Obi-Wan nods, as Nya returns her full attention to the sands ahead of her. When she sees an old town tucked into the mountains, she begins landing procedure. Including letting a transmission through when Mandalorians in blue painted armor begin to fly alongside the ship.

"Su cuy'gar, Nite Owls. Ibici Nya Kryze ara'novor."

A male voice responds to her. "Mhi susulur gar. Duumyc rusur."

"Vor'e."

Nya brings the ship down and lands on a lip of the mountain. The same Mandalorians who flew alongside them land beside them. Nya powers the ship down and stands up.

"Come on."

Obi-Wan follows her lead and stands. The two walk through the ship and down the boarding ramp. One of the males in blue painted armor walks up to the two. And he removes his helmet. Revealing the face of one Tristan Wren.

"Tristan."

"Nya, you came. I wasn't sure if you would."

"Mandalore is my home, and it is under attack. My family is under attack. In accordance to the Resol'nare, I came back."

Tristan smiles at his cousin. "Sabine thought you would. I guess she was right."

Nya nods. "Where's buir?"

Bo-Katan walks up next to Tristan and removes her helmet. "I'm right here."

Nya smiles slightly at her mother before nodding to her. The red headed woman nods back to her daughter before gesturing for everyone to follow her. Everyone complies and follows Bo.

Once they are inside, the other Mandalorians remove their helmets. And Bo takes Nya, Tristan, and Obi-Wan to another room. This one more isolated, but there are others there that are known to Nya.

Ursa, Alrich, and Sabine Wren, Korkie Kryze, and Chun and Gabriel Kross. All of them are surprised to see Nya, but what surprises them more is the fact that she is wearing beskar, with her hair cut short, and her lightsabers nowhere in sight.

Tristan stands with his parents and his sister, and as he does, eyes shift to Obi-Wan. The Jedi Master though, stands tall.

What's he doing here?" Gabriel asks. "Does he not know how much the Jedi have already done to Mandalore?"

Nya glares at Gabriel. "Are you forgetting I was a Jedi myself? Have the Jedi not also helped Mandalore? Control yourself, Gabriel, none of us are children here."
