Chapter 2 - Fear

Never thought the day could come so soon, or at any time in my life. Never thought I'd be where I am in this moment at this time. It happened so fast and I didn't see it coming until it literally hit me like a freight train. The fear of losing someone or something so great was never in my mind until now. As I stood here in the hospital fighting for not just my life but theirs all of them. The things I'd do for my family and my friends was beyond my comprehension even. I was smart, I was skilled and yet this happened and it was all my doing.

Earlier that week

Trinity's POV

"Ally you mean to tell me your going to be a big sister this late in life" I laughed

"Yeah mom and dad are fucking losing it for adopting a child at a time like this even" she said

"Yeah it's crazy I mean when Callie was born I was only twelve now look at the girl it's five years later, and my parents were young still" I said as I took a drag of my cigarette that wasn't even supposed to be in my possession

It's weird how things go by fast and how you risk your life for those you love. Hell I was a risky kid I might only be seventeen but I've been through enough really. I was dating a guy his name was Jamie but I liked to call him J for short. J and i have been seeing each other for a good five months now. It's crazy how time flys and how fast things move around you but hey living in the moment is my thing. Don't ask and don't tell because that's how life is really. I smoke, I drink at the parties I sneak out of the house to go to without a care in the world. Hell yes I get yelled at for it but it's all worth it in the end because my parents love my crazy self. Heck sometimes I try and push the limits just to see them crack under pressure.

They always want to be perfect and I keep that at a distance because I hate it. I hate trying to look like something I'm not and fake it in life. So I basically told my parents to fuck off and let me live my life. Which they do to a certain point of course not that it matters anyway.

"Where's Jamie?" Harden asked

"Ahh I'd like to know that question too" I said with a small laugh

"I'm right here baby" Jamie said as he kissed my cheek

"Hey I wanted to go down to the beach for a weekend did y'all want to join?" Jessica aka hardens girlfriend asked

"Sure why the hell not, I mean I can easily convince my parents or just sneak out" I said

"Your so lucky your parents are care free with you" Alison said

"Trust me nothing good happens in the end" I laughed

"Well I'll join of course" harden asked

You see we lived decently close to Californias good beaches like the really good ones. Not going to lie it's a hefty price to live here in California but dads a doctor and moms a fashion designer. So we manage and little Callie or my little sister manages with things as well. I adore Callie but sometimes she's over baring and I want to strangle myself. Don't get me wrong she's adorable and she knows it that's her problem and it sucks. Only because my parents lately focus on the youngest here and I'm left out of the loop so I do as I chose to do.

"Party this weekend on the beach so bring a swimsuit and your best outfit" Jessica said

Now I never really liked Jessica but I tolerated her just for my friend harden. I'd known harden since we were babies our parents were and still are close friends. we basically grew up in the same crib so he's like my brother really. Although he's a little older we are still super close except when Jessica is around. She's obviously not okay with me but she likes to make sure harden and I don't do anything. Although I never would because harden again is like my brother it's strictly platonic kind of relationship.

The days went by and weekend came faster than you can say jump which was good. I grabbed my stuff and snuck out of my window and out to my friends car. We were all riding together it was me, Jessica, harden, Alison and Jamie. All five of us made it and we sped off with a little laugh and off to the closest party we went. That's how it usually went except this time was different this time was the last time.

I didn't know it at the time but I'd lose someone closest to me that day.

We drove and laughed together while singing terribly loud to every song on the radio. It happened so fast no one especially Jessica saw it coming. It was dark and not a lot of lights were on the highway this time and the truck came right at us. She swerved the best she could but the car flipped and it felt as though time went in slow motion. I didn't even have time to scream or register that the car was now upside down and I had a long gash from my shoulder down. I passed out from the blood loss before I got to the hospital that night.
