tonight is my movie premiere for the eras tour and it's gonna be a huge night, i'm so excited. i have invited some very lucky fans to join and my family and friends will be there.
travis is coming, ella wants to go but we don't think it's good idea. it's gonna be late and she won't even be awake for most of it.
my stylist just came over to drop off my dress. it's a long bright blue dress that's strapless. it's a little shorter in the front so you can see my shoes and it has a shirt train. travis decided to customize a suit. it's a blue and white suit that all hints at 1989 TV so it's fun.
i hanging my dress up in my closet on one of the hooks so it's easily accessible and not compacted with my other clothes.
"i told you to ask your mom." i hear travis say and i turn around and see him walking in with ella.
"what do you need to ask me sweetie?" i ask squatting down already knowing she's going to ask to come tonight
"can i please go to the movie tonight?" she asks sweetly and clings to me
"i just don't think it's a good idea baby." i explain "there's gonna be a lot of people with cameras and you're gonna be so tired."
"no mommy i'll stay awake and won't go by the camera people." she exclaims and i look up at travis.
"ella why don't you go play for a minute while mommy and i talk." he says and she groans and walks out.
once travis knows she's gone he speaks up "i don't think we should bring her, but if she wants to go, she wants to go." travis says
"i know but she's never been to something like this." i say "i mean but it is my event so i feel like i can kinda control some aspects of it if she goes."
"should we just say fuck it and bring her?" travis asks
"fuck it." i say under my breath and leave my closet to find ella in her play room with travis following closely behind
"ella, do you promise to be such a good girl if you go tonight?" i ask her and she quickly stands up
"yes mommy i promise." she quickly gets to my side
"and i don't want any whining or anything." i say
"i promise." she says with big eyes
"ok let's find you a dress then." i say and we go to her room. travis goes and does his own thing.
i find her a very light blue dress that's almost white that she loves and i pair is with some white sandals
a little while later, we are all dressed and ready to go and are in the car on the way to the premiere.
"mommy i'm so excited." ella says and she swings her little legs in her carseat
"i know el, it's gonna be so fun. but while i'm signing stuff and meeting fans, you're gonna be with daddy inside, ok?" i say
"but i wanna meet people too!" she whines
"ella, what did mom say about whining?" travis butts in "and it's not safe for you to go meet everyone, not to mention you'll get bored because it takes a while." he continues and she goes quiet. she loves meeting fans but there's a safety aspect because i can't keep an eye on her the whole, someone could pull her over the gate, she could wander off, there's just so much that could happen even if the event is very high security attended like there's security everywhere.
once we get there, we pull into the back entrance of the grove. travis gets out and gets ella and then helps me out and we all walk in. travis and ella stand at the entrance of the theater inside and i go out to the crowd with tree and they absolutely erupt.
after countless pictures and so many autographs, we finally get to go inside and watch the movie. before i can go into the theater i'm watching in, i go around and say a few words to each theater.
i finally get to my seat and ready to watch the movie with all my dancers and of course trav and ella.
the movie starts and it's already so fun to see fans reactions below me, they are having such an amazing time while jumping, dancing and singing.
about a little bit of the way through i see ella starting to hang on travis next to me.
i bend down to her "ella what's wrong?" i ask
"i'm tired mommy." she says sleepy and go to hang on me now. she puts her arms up for me to carry her so i pick her up. i cant just ignore her. she puts her head on my shoulder. travis leans over to me "i can take her tay." he says
"no it's fine." i explain and notice she's playing with my hair which means she's about to fall asleep.
"no, give me her so you can keep having fun." he says and i hand her to him and she snuggles up against him and quickly falls asleep
i go back to dancing with everyone and have such a great time while travis holds ella as she sleeps against him for about two hours. i know he doesn't mind holding her so she can sleep, i just feel a little bad.
as the movie ends, security comes in and tells people they can't stick around so everyone starts to leave. travis and i begin to leave as well and i thank everyone we see along the way and express my gratitude for making everything tonight happen.
we finally get semi-alone and i lean over to travis with ella still in his arms. "thanks for holding her all night, you could've passed her to me at some point." i say
"you know i take care of my girls. ella needed someone to sleep on and you needed to have a good time and holding a child wouldn't let you do that." he explains making me smile at how good of a guy he is
