☆Where Will The Shadows Hide?☆

As the years go by, I find myself becoming less and less afraid of the dark

My mind no longer plays tricks
Making up figures out of shadows in mirrors
The crumbling fear, the end is near

I no longer see the dark as the end
More so, I now call the dark my friend
Because how else will the world spin?
If shadow and light don't fit hand-in-hand?
If the daylight wins and the night seizes to exist?

Where will the moon live?
She is surrounded by nothing, but darkness
It's when the tide knows when to roll in
It's when a multitude of creatures know that it's their time

I'm no longer scared of the dark
Because I am made up of it
In my first home, I was created in it
The womb, dark— safe and sound
Don't you see, we are safer this way?
Darkness makes the soul complete
Accepting it— The final stage, to knowing what it all means
It means nothing
