#10; Till Death Does Us Part

-= POV; JACK =-

"I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!" I heard (Y/N) scream at me, barely being able to keep up with me as we ran through the forest.

Of course, it was just our luck to be found in that cabin.

I glared back at her, "Well that makes two of us!" I shouted back at her, wrapping my arms around her waist as we hid within a small cave we found off to the side.

I looked at her, we were both panting. "(Y/N), I'm sorry."

She looked up at me with slight confusion.

"I'm sorry I ruined your life, I'm sorry I killed your friends, I'm sorry I made you love me, I'm sorry about, well, everything. You wouldn't have been in this situation if I hadn't been so selfish," I told her, feeling myself getting teared apart as I realized everything I've done to her.

Her eyebrows turned up in worry, approaching me and cupping my cheeks, "Hey, Jack, it's okay," she whispered to me, trying to soothe me.

"No it's not."

"Yes it is."

I knew she was just saying that to soothe me.

"Our life isn't easy now, they're going to pull us apart, torture us... I don't know if I want to live without you," she whispered.

I held her close, "Don't say that, please don't say that... I'm already dead, twice, you have your whole life," I whispered.

"It's not living if the only thing I'm doing is surviving," she whispered back, looking up at me.

She held her pinky out, and I curled mine around hers.

"Till Death does us part?"

"Till Death does us part."

I looked at her.

Her eyes.

Her skin.

Het hair.

Her smile.

How could I ever think she'd be mine?

How could I ever believe that one day I'll be with her forever?

Tears of black goop dripped from my empty eye sockets, but she gently wiped them away.

"Burn the mansion to the ground?" She asked with a smirk, making me chuckle. "Of course."

I took her in my arms, her legs wrapping around my waist and her arms around my neck before I quickly ran towards the mansion.

After a while we got there, quietly going inside and into Toby's room to grab the gasoline and matches.

No one was home, so we were safe for now.

As I poured the gasoline all throughout the wooden mansion, (Y/N) stood in the middle with the matches, waiting for me.

It didn't take long before there was no gasoline left anymore.

I threw the empty can to the side before approaching her, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her one last time. "Are you sure about this?" I asked her in a whisper, to which she just nodded.

"As sure as that you're eyeless," she chuckled.

She lit the match and threw it down, the flames spreading over the gasoline and lighting everything around us on fire.

I held her, ignoring the heat as my old home started to fall apart, burn to ashes. I looked down at her, watching as she looked at the debris surrounding us.

She looked back up at me and gave me a smile of fear. "They used to burn witches alive," she whispered, making me chuckle.

She sighed, hugging me tightly. "Jack..? What is Death like?.." she asked me, not looking back up at me as burning beams fell down around us.

"Death is a guide, calm and kind, only wanting the best for us," I whispered to her, watching the fire spread more and destroying the place I used to call home.

"As for the afterlife, it's different for everyone. It's everything that person craved," I told her, kissing her forehead.

"Will you find me in the afterlife?"

"I'd die over and over again just to get a glimpse of you."

Out of nowhere we heard a shout.

We looked up towards the person who shouted, and saw our friends. They looked shocked, scared, and in disbelief.

(Y/N) waved at them, while I leaned down to taste her sweet lips one last time.

There was a cracking above us, followed by the shouts of Toby, Jeff, Liu, Jane, and all the others, as a huge beam fell down on top of us.

That was it.

That was the end.
