-= POV; Y/N =-
Waking up in blue water surrounding me wasn't the thing that made me question my status.
It also wasn't the fact that I could breathe here, or that I didn't feel the cold.
No,
It was the way I felt at peace. No stress.
No pressure.
No anxiety.
No depression.
I looked around the underwater world, seeing nothing but a beautiful blue.
Slowly I swam up, making me realize how deep down I actually was.
As soon as my head was above the surface, I realized I was in what seemed like a big partially frozen lake.
I swam to the shore, climbing out and looking around. There was powdered snow everywhere, and quite a thick layer as well.
It was a flower field I was in, flowers were peaking out from above the snow while trees surrounded the area. In the middle of the field stood a little hut.
Cautiously I walked towards it, white roses popping out of the foot imprints I left behind in the snow.
Carefully I opened the door of the hut. It was bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside.
There was a small kitchen immediately to the right, and there was a closet to the left. Beside the closet was a round table with four seats around it underneath a window. Next to the kitchen was a large window and a couple walls with a door that led to the bathroom.
All the way in the back was the living room with a plateau above it, a ladder leading up to it. On the plateau was a two-person-bed and bunk beds.I stepped inside, walking forward towards the living room. There was a couch placed against the left wall and a TV dresser with a TV on top placed against the right wall, a coffee table in-between them.
There was a picture on the coffee table. I picked it up and looked at it, seeing a happy family photo of me, Jack in his human form, and two kids who seemed to be ours.
I smiled at it, realizing that I was in my paradise; my afterlife.
-= POV; JACK =-
The door of my hut was open, and there was a trail of white roses leading to it.
I smiled, realizing that (Y/N) had finally found her way home.
"Dusk! Dawn! Come on in, mommy is home!" I called out to our two kids, looking as the twins excitedly ran inside the hut.
I followed them, looking back at the trails of white, black and red roses my family and I left behind.
"Hello!" I heard (Y/N) greet our kids, hugging them both.
I turned around, closing the door behind me as I walked over to her.
She looked up at me, her face filling with awe. "You're human again," she whispered, touching my face as soon as I was close enough.
I chuckled, nodding, "And you're still as beautiful as the day I lost you," I whispered, leaning down and softly kissing her.
"I missed you," I whispered.
"I missed you too," she whispered back, kissing me one more time.
She tasted just as sweet as she did when we burned together.
