Bruce's POV

So this was bound to be interesting. None of the Avengers except Steve knew about Acadia, and he had kept that secret for 10 years. They would probably be pissed that they didn't know. Tony would be the worst, not because he didn't know, but because he wasn't related to her in some way.. I guess I could get her to call him Uncle Tony. My internal rambling was interrupted by my little girl.

“Daddy? This hallway's really creepy..” She said, shuffling closer to me. I gently took her hand and stepped into Fury's office.

“You wanted to see me, sir?” I said. A slight look of surprise was visible on Fury's stony face.

“Damn right I did, Banner. You've been gone for quite a long time, and we could have used Hulk numerous times!” He exclaimed. I bit my lip. The last thing I needed was Ace knowing that her father was a monster.

“Daddy? Who's Hulk?” Acadia asked curiously. Fury's eyebrows raised.

Daddy?! Oh Banner, don't tell me..” He trailed off. I shook my head.

“She's my daughter, Nick.” I hissed through clenched teeth. He bent down so he was eye level with Acadia.

“You see, little Miss Banner, your father turns into a monster. He hasn't told you, but you need to know.” Fury said, then stood back up. I saw Ace's big doe eyes meet with mine.

“Daddy? Is.. Is he right?” She asked, her eyes brimmed with tears. I knelt down and hugged her.

“Don't listen to him, okay?” I said, holding her close.

“Oh, cut the crap, Banner.” Fury groaned. I stood up, a familiar burning sensation filling me. Steve walked in right around then.

“Hey Bruce! Acadia?! What are you doi-” He was cut off by me turning my head so he could see me going green.

“I kept her safe from that for 10 years, Nick!” I roared. Steve scooped my little girl up in his arms as the change completed and he ran off down the hall, Ace sobbing the whole way.
