Bruce's POV

After waiting for what seemed like forever, I finally was allowed to sign the papers and adopt the beautiful baby girl that had stolen my heart. Well, she was a newborn when I'd met her, but she had grown quite a bit. The half-inch thick stack of paperwork before me indicating where to sign was like the ticket to happiness. I had always wanted kids, but the other guy always scared people away.. I picked up a pen and signed the papers, a smile visible on my face. Steve had come with me, just for friendship and support. I was led into a room full of cribs and my little girl was picked up and handed to me. I held her gently, looking at her beautiful emerald green eyes.

"Congratulations, Dr. Banner." The young nurse said, smiling and leading me out of the room again, back to the room where I signed my paperwork.

"Before you leave, you need to fill out her birth certificate. I assume you've brought a lawyer?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, I did." The man in a suit stepped in the room and sat beside me. We were all set to make everything final.

"So what are you naming her, sir?" The nurse asked. I smiled again. I had this planned for ages.

"Acadia Rose Banner." I said. It was the perfect name. I looked down at the baby girl in my arms and she wrapped her hand around my finger. The woman typed it and printed it, my lawyer signed it, and I put my name on the bottom. She was now legally my daughter. I stood up and we all shook hands, then we left. Back out in the waiting room, Steve sat, reading a magazine.

"Banner! You got her! Can I hold her?" He asked, smiling. I nodded and gently handed him Acadia Rose. He softly rocked her, a grin on his face. Steve handed her back to me and we left, heading back to my car. I had already bought her a carrier, so we set her in it and I carried it on my lap while Steve drove. We finally returned to my house and we walked into Acadia's room, which was painted sky blue with giraffes on the walls. Tony hired his interior designer to help me with that, since I had no idea what I was doing. Steve said his goodbyes and took his car that he left here back to his house, leaving Acadia and I alone. I set her down in her crib and gently stroked her head.

"Sleep well, Acadia. You have a long life ahead of you."
