Book 1: My Dark World: The Legacy

(Chapter 1) Where It All Started

The red sun shines over everything leaving the silhouette of nature. 15 years later, Demons frolic in their shadows and enjoy the life they live. The world has changed since the attack. Everyone is skeptical about Lucifer as the king.

The Hunter Household

Jack lies down flat on his bed listening to music with his hands on his stomach. Sailie sat up in bed reading a book. "Do you ever believe that magic exists?" Sailie asked Jack. "You mean like card tricks or optical illusions or casual brain manipulation?" Jack asked. Sailie rolled her eyes with a grin. "Not card tricks. Real magic. Spells and all that." She said. "If it was real, this conversation wouldn't be any different." Jack said. "Or maybe you're secretly a wizard and just keeping quiet about it." Sailie teased. "If that was the case, I'd probably keep it that way." Jack said. "You'd make the most low-key wizard ever." Sailie chuckled. "Good. It keeps people from being in my business and asking too many questions." Jack said. "You fricken introvert." Sailie said. "You do know I'm older than you." Jack said. "By 3 minutes." Sailie said teasing Jack. "Yeah, whatever." Jack said.

Middle School (The Next Day)

Even demons need basic education. Jack and Sailie are in the cafeteria. Sailie shows Jack a drawing of a human with a demon mask with 4 skeleton hands on his back. They encountered a group of 3 teenage guys and they swiped Sailie's sketchbook to the ground then they walked away laughing. Sailie walks over to pick up her book from the ground. The boys observe. As one of them approaches her to kick the book Jack grabs his leg and pushes him back making him fall. "Do you have a problem?" The guy asked. "Do you have a solution?" Jack asked. "Uh yes." The guy said as he punched Jack. Jack's head turned from the impact. The guy had a cocky smile on his face but it slowly faded as Jack turned his head back to the original position. The guy was shocked. Jack kicked the guy and he fell back to the floor. The 2 other guys started to run at Jack to fight him. Jack deflected everything. Until his strength went overboard to protect his sister. The other guy came back up to join the fight but it ended terribly for them because Sailie then joined. Sailie broke 2 of their noses and Jack kicked the main guy to the ground and stomped on his ribs. The school administrators came to get Jack off of him as he was stomping on his head. Sailie was just looking at 2 guys she defeated.

The Office

Jack and Sailie got expelled. They were sitting outside the Principal's Office until dismissal. "How did you do that?" Sailie asked. "It consisted of 5 weeks in combat classes." Jack said. Sailie tilted her head in confusion. "Watched a couple of things, Played a couple of games." Jack said. Sailie sighed. "This is stupid." Sailie said. "Because self-defense is apparently not allowed." Jack said.

The Hunter Household

Jack and Sailie walked home from school together because it was close to the house. They reached the front door and collected the mail for the week. They enter the house with the mail. "Bills, Taxes, Insurance, Mortgage, Scholarships." Sailie said counting through the letters. "Scholarships?" Jack said surprised. "For both of us?" Sailie said surprised. Jack and Sailie opened their letters and sat on the couch to read them in sync. "Dear Jack." Jack read. "Dear Sailie." Sailie read. "We secretly observed your persistence and you show potential for the next generation of demons so I am sending you this scholarship to ask you if you want to join us to help you improve your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being as well as improving your physical prowess and build your power by enrolling in Hevania Magic Academy." They both read in sync. "Woah." Jack said surprised. "We got kicked out of school and got put in a better school." Sailie said. "What school?" Lucifer said. Sailie got startled and fell being caught by Jack's arms. "What happened?" Lucifer asked. "We were chosen." Jack said showing Lucifer the scholarships they both got. "Oh wow. That's great I'm happy for you guys. When do you start?" Lucifer asked. "Uh.. tomorrow." Jack said. "Well get to sleeping." Lucifer said. Jack and Sailie then rushed to their room to go to sleep.

The Next Day

On the long drive to the school, Jack looks out the window and witnesses the beauty of the place he lives in. The red sun shone through the trees and the black grass. The reflection off of the buildings in the central city of the netherworld. The sidewalks are a little busy. Everyone always has somewhere to go. The lights in the nighttime are the best part. There's never gonna be a day where you don't see the netherworld shine their lights. No matter how dim it gets it's still bright and beautiful.

First Day Of Hevania

We've now approached the West Coast of Sorrow's End where the school is located. Lucifer drives to the entrance to drop off the kids. "Have a good day." Nyx said. "Bye Mom." Jack said. "Bye Dad." Sailie said. Jack and Sailie got out of the car and walked into the school.

Hevania Magic Academy

It was a big building with 2 floors. The red sun shines through the glass walls of the entrance. Long Hallways, Spacious Rooms, Hand signs to unlock the lockers, Floating platforms for elevators that do not only go vertical. Jack and Sailie were amazed by the structure of the school. Suddenly, A shadow approached them. "You must be the new kids. My name is Alana." She said. "Hey. I'm Jack and this is my sister Sailie." He said. 2 more shadows walked up. "Who's your new friend?" One of them asked. "Jack and his sister Sailie." Alana said. "Hey. I'm Lizi." She said. "Who is he?" Jack asked. "My brother Isaiah." Lizi said. They both silently wave at each other. "So.. Who's gonna tell him?" Lizi asked looking at Isaiah and Alana. Jack starts to feel worried. "I'm just joking you're gonna love it here." Lizi said. Jack sighs in relief. "Their papers." Isaiah said. "Oh, right, sorry, how could I forget, I didn't even notice. Here is your schedule and a miniature array of 3 hand signs for your lockers." Lizi said. "Oh, we have the same lunch period." Alana said. "In that case, you're gonna see us quite a lot." Lizi said. "Ok well see ya." Jack said.

They all waved their goodbyes and went on with their day.
