(Chapter 3) A Big Difference

After having a terrifying dream, Jack started having some physical advancements and disabilities.

The Hunter Household
Morning (7:00 AM)

Jack gets up out of bed and dresses himself. He goes to the bathroom and looks in the mirror and is terrified of his existence. Jack's skin and vital organs are gone. He is nothing more than a skeleton. Sailie walks into the bathroom to find something but sees Jack's form and is horrified. "How did this happen?" Sailie asked calmly but still panicking. "I don't know." Jack answered. "How are you so calm about this?" Sailie asked. "Because I'm not dying." Jack said. "You don't know that. Next thing you know.." Before she could finish Jack said "Let's just go to school."

Hevania Magic Academy

Jack and Sailie walked into school with 2 different emotions. Sailie was concerned about Jack's existence and Jack was calm about the whole thing. They walked into a fellow demon, Zack Blazer. "So you're the new student. I wondered when I'd get to welcome another peasant to the school." He said. Jack then lifts his head showing his face. "Repeat that?" He said. Zack was startled. "Damn, Did you melt your face with a million blow torches or some shit?" Zack asked. Sailie then walked away with Jack. "I do not like him." Sailie said. "I wish he'd just crawl back into his mother's ovulation chamber." Jack said.

Hevania Magic Academy (Lunch)
4th Period

Sailie gets startled by the appearance of Jack's friends since they don't know. "Oh shit it's them." Sailie said. "Who is it?" Jack asked. "Hide your face." Sailie said putting a paper bag over Jack's head. They sit down at the lunch table. All the shadows looked confused. "Yeah, this isn't working." Sailie said taking the bag off Jack's head. "What happened to you?" Lizi asked. "Long story." Jack and Sailie said in unison. Someone walked up. "Well, it seems like the Darkies have new members." She said. "And you are?" Jack asked. "Peyton Darkwood, Class President. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance." She said sarcastically leaving her hand out for a handshake. "I do not know where your hand has been. Please back up." Jack said. "You're one to talk." Peyton said internally. "That's a shame. Word of advice, in this school, learn your place before you get yourself hurt." Peyton said. Jack sensed the toxicity in Peyton's personality. Jack got up from the lunch table to look angrily at Peyton. "Was that a threat?" Jack asked. "It was a promise." Peyton said walking away. Jack sat back down. "This woman is so egotistical it's not even funny anymore." Jack said internally now having a vendetta against Peyton.

Hevania Magic Academy (History)
5th Period

"Ok class, so does anyone know what happened during the incident a couple of years back?" The Teacher asked. Peyton raised her hand. "Yes, Peyton." The Teacher said. "All hell broke loose when our glorious King Cletus was killed, Way before Lucifer took his place." Peyton said. "Glorious King?!" Jack asked internally. "Leading all of the species to fight for their survival for the time being. Skeletons were unsuccessful leaving people like Jack in shambles." Peyton said. The class chuckled and Jack gave Peyton a death stare for the rest of the class. "Don't worry about her. She's just another person at this school who would do anything for fame." Lizi said. "She's also a half-breed." Alana said. Jack was confused. "Half-Shadow, Half-Demon." Alana said. "Is that why one of her horns is black and short?" Jack asked. "Mhm." Alana said. "Peyton's dad is a shadow and her mom is a demon." The bell rang and everyone left.

After School

Sailie does spell practice as Jack contemplates lying on the bottom bunk. "Who does she think she is? Telling people what they can and can't do because of basic societal norms." Jack said. "It's because she thinks she does more for our society than Lucifer has ever done." Sailie said. "What the fuck does that have to do with a small number of people in our school? What do they even do?" Jack asked. "Bow, Kneel, Worship, Glaze. Along with the fact that the Moonlight clan is no joke. Otherwise, your reputation will get destroyed and everyone's gonna hate you." Sailie said. "That's stupid." Jack said.

The Hevania Campus

Peyton was walking home from school. A man with long black hair and a black oversized coat covering his feet walked up to her. "I was wondering how long it would take you to show up." Peyton said. They both start walking. "So what brings you here?" Peyton asked. "I have information about someone and I want to confirm it." The Man said. "Go ahead." Peyton said. "Jack, Son of Lucifer, The Demon King am I correct?" The Man asked. "Precisely." Peyton said. "I know a thing or two about that man. I need a favor, and what you'll get in return is going to be worth it." The Man said. "Go on." Peyton said. "Just a few things to help Cletus carry out what he always wanted to do." The Man said.

Peyton and the man discussed his plan. Meanwhile, one of the biggest events of the year was going to happen.
