Book 1: My Dark World: The Legacy

(Chapter 8) The Tournament Regents

It's that time of the year. We've reached the end of Jack's first year and the big tournament is about to commence.

Principal Vedil goes on the intercom. "Attention students, the fight you all have been waiting for is about to commence. Report to the arena outside  of the school." He said. "Oh shoot. It's time." Alana said. "Time for What?" Jack and Sailie asked. "THE TOURNAMENT REGENTS!" Lizi said. "The fight of the school year." Alana said.

The Hevania Battle Arena

It was a big arena that was the size of the Super Bowl. Everyone sits down in the crowd. Vedil in the arena picks up the microphone. "Good afternoon students. It is my pleasure to announce that the battle you all have been preparing for is about to commence. Before we start I will explain the rules. I will set up very strong minions. The difficulty gets harder and the creatures change for each grade. And if you defeat them, you get to fight me. I will be a decoy so feel free to do whatever you want. If you defeat me you pass depending on your grade level. If you're a senior, you get to leave and move on with your lives. On the other hand, if you lose, you go down a grade and if you're a freshman, you will be from hevania and never to return. We will start now. I believe in every one of you." Vedil said.

Sailie's Fight

"Sailie Hunterton." Principal Vedil said. Sailie got nervous when her name was called. "You got this." Jack said. "Do you think I'll make it?" Sailie asked. Jack held her hand. "You will." Jack said with reassurance. "And if I don't?" Sailie asked concerned about his future. "At least we'll have each other." Jack said. "Yeah." Sailie said. Sailie went into the arena being very nervous. "BEGIN!" Vedil said. Sailie took a deep breath and then started sprinting towards the minions. She took out the minions with her ghost bombs. She pulled out her ghost staff and Vedil took out his scythe. They clashed. Sailie began hyperventilating. Mentally contemplating how she would lose this fight. She always wanted to be the perfect demon and her pride is on the line in this fight. Sailie had always been pressured into being the greatest by the people around her. When her family expected the bare minimum she always challenged herself to go to the max. She took a deep breath and then started sprinting. Vedil started sprinting and swung when he got close. Sailie dodged. Vedil and Sailie fight for about a couple of minutes. The final blow consisted of hitting Vedil in the side of his face with the staff. Sailie won and passed leading to graduation.

Alana's Fight

Alana took out her bo staff and started to sprint towards the principal. First with the minions, She dodged every attack then teleported into the air and used her staff to slam the ground wiping out all of the minions. Vedil pulled out his scythe and Alana sprinted faster to him. They clashed and got thrown back. Alana and Vedil then started fighting hitting clashes upon clashes. Vedil hit a low blow that sent Alana back a few feet but she dashed back. As Vedil was about to attack, Alana vanished. Vedil was confused about Alana's whereabouts at that moment. Alana then dropped from the top and slammed Vedil on his head with the Bo staff. Alana won and passed leading to graduation.

Lizi's Fight

Lizi unsheathed her katana and sliced the minions at top speed. Lizi then threw her sword in the air. It was gonna take a while for it to come back down. During that time, Vedil took out his scythe and dashed to Lizi to slice her. Lizi dodged with her hands behind her. Vedil started swinging his weapon and Lizi dodged every single move. Afterwards, Lizi kicked Vedil's scythe off his hand. Now it's hand-to-hand combat. Lizi hit a low blow but it only knocked Vedil back a few feet. Vedil dashes back but Lizi's katana is falling back down. When she caught the sword and placed it back in the sheathe, the slicing started to do its effects. And with Vedil dashing back, he entered the slash radius. Slicing him too. Lizi won and passed leading to graduation.

Isaiah's Fight

Isaiah pulled out his Scythe. He started swinging the blade killing every minion. Vedil took his scythe out and started dashing at Isaiah. They fight with weapons for a couple of minutes. The scythe broke so Isaiah used hand-to-hand combat for a couple of minutes. Little did he know, Isaiah had tricks up his sleeves. Isaiah's scythe repairs itself. Afterwards, the scythe came back to Isaiah. Then Isaiah decapitates Vedil. Isaiah won and passed leading to graduation.

Kyria's Fight

Kyria walks into the arena with nothing in her hand. "Where's your weapon?" Vedil asked. "Don't worry about it." Kyria said. The minions have summoned and started to rush at Kyria. She battles the minions with hand-to-hand combat. When she passed the minions, Principal Vedil rushed to Kyria. She used the second of her reaction time to pull out her weapon and clash with Vedil."Oh, a spear?" Vedil asked. Vedil started throwing daggers. Kyria deflected them with her spear. Kyria was going for the finishing blow but Vedil took another dagger and stabbed her in the forehead. Then Kyria fell to the floor. Everyone was shocked. As Kyria was getting carried away by the health team, Vedil felt a tap on the shoulder. He turns around and sees Kyria putting up 2 fingers and crossing the 2 fingers. Then everything goes black. Vedil wakes up in a deep dark cloudy night void with a moon. 3 seconds later, Vedil instantly gets kicked by Kyria before he can think. Kyria won and passed leading to graduation.

Jack's Fight

Jack goes to the arena and mentally prepares himself. Jack slowly walks towards one of the minions and his focus has been activated. He grabs one of the minions. Ripped its leg off and threw it at 2 others. As the rest dash towards him, Jack raises his hands and uses telekinesis snapping their necks. Vedil pulls out his staff. The Real fighting began. Blocking every punch, Deflecting every kick, Parrying every blast. Vedil hit a low blow. Jack hits the ground. We enter his mindscape. "What's holding you back?" A voice asked. "What do you mean?" Jack asked. "You have all the tendencies in the world of mass genocide but you hide it." The voice said. The figure with the voice grabbed Jack's head. "EMBRACE THE CHAOS WITHIN YOU!!" It shouted. On the outside, Jack started powering up. All of his demon energy went into his legs. The final blow consisted of a lethal kick in the gut. Jack won and passed leading to graduation.

A significant event in Jack's life that will be remembered for a long time. Right now, he has begun a completely new chapter.
