Book 1: My Dark World: The Legacy

(Chapter 7) Christmas

We are now entering the winter season, everything and everywhere is covered in a beautiful layer of shining snow.

Hevania Magic Academy (History)
5th Period

The teacher was enlightening the students with knowledge about the exact thing that Jack was trying to get answers for. "Now.. can anyone tell me the history behind fire users?" The teacher asked. Zack raised his hand. "Yes, Zack." The teacher said. "When Lucifer became king, no fire user felt strong. He claims that he wants everyone to have decency to be honest and powerful so that there's diversity. So fire users started to rebel against him, burning down houses, and buildings, taking lots of lives. But at the end of the day, all we want is for fire to reign supreme." Zack said. Jack's expression was a mixture of confusion and anger. As the teacher was explaining the homework, Jack took a stand. "That makes no sense." Jack said out loud. The whole class looked at him. "What did you just say?" Zack asked looking at Jack with murderous intent as always. "He's not bad-mouthing anyone. Meanwhile, Cletus made it clear that he wanted to kill you but you're attacking HIM?" Jack ranted. "Cletus would've done better for us than your dad would've done." Zack said. "HE COMMITTED GENOCIDE ON US!! WHATEVER THE FUCK YOUR PEOPLE DID WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT BETTER!!" Jack Shouted. Everyone was shocked that someone stood up to Zack. The bell rang and everyone left.

The Snowy Woods (After School)

Jack takes a stroll through a forest covered in snow with his shadow friends. "My Staff looks great. Although it doesn't have a headpiece." Alana said. "That's because it's a Bo Staff Alana." Isaiah said. "Oh." Alana said. "On the other hand, I got a Scythe." Isaiah said. "I didn't get a staff. But anyway, What did you get Lizi?" Jack asked. "Well..." Before she said anything, They ran into The Flame Squad. "Still mad I called you out?" Jack asked. "Shut the fuck up skull head." Zack said. "Oh go burn in your weakness." Lizi said. Zack zoomed into Lizi looking at her up close face to face with murderous intent. "Nice necklace. Did you dig it out of the ground? Or a gravestone perhaps?" Zack asked. Lizi kicked him. Lizi unsheathed a Katana and Zack pulled out his fire staff. They both clashed and backed away after a moment. "This is what I got from the quiz." Lizi said referring to her katana. "On the other hand, That is a Halloween accessory, my guy." Jack said laughing. "That was last month buddy you are so late." Lizi said laughing. "Fight me if you want something to laugh about." Zack said. "Ok." Jack said. Then the red and black aura surrounded him. The shadows were shocked. "Since when did you learn how to do that?" Lizi asked. "Since this bitch got his ass whooped the first time." Jack said. Everyone dashed towards each other and started fighting. Jack deflected everything from Zack. He kicked Jack far. As he was gonna dash back he was blocked by Scarlet. "I don't want to fight you but.. Zack's orders." Scarlet said as her fire blasts clashed with Jack's demon magic. Scarlet's moves were deflected until she tried to punch Jack. He grabbed Scarlet's hand. "Then don't. Join me... and we can rebel together." Jack said. Scarlet was conflicted so she made up her mind and gave Jack a dap their energy mixed. Alana, Lizi, and Isaiah were fighting the others. Zack gets up only to get knocked back down by Scarlet. "You don't want to do this." Zack said. "Yes, I do. Because I'm done." Scarlet said. Jack and the shadows backed up as the fight finished. Afterwards, they watched the fight between Scarlet and Zack. "She can fight." Lizi said. 8 years of oppression built Scarlet's rage into almost killing Zack. The final blow was Zack getting kicked multiple times. After 10 kicks, he got kicked into the ground. To make sure he stayed down, Scarlet stomped on him multiple times. She turned around to see Jack. Scarlet slowly started smiling. "Jack. I finally did it. After all these years. I'm free." She said. Then the unthinkable happened. Zack opened his eyes and brought his arm to his mouth to communicate to one of the sniper towers of the fire clan near the area. "Take the shot." He said. One of the snipers then shot Scarlet. Everyone was shocked. Jack looks at Scarlet's dead body on the ground with a bullet hole in her head. "She was a waste of space. She should've felt honored to have had divine judgment from my clan." Zack said. Jack dashes towards Zack, grabs him by the collar floating into the air, and throws him so hard into a tree, that the tree fell with him. Afterwards, he started punching Zack to near death. The shadows pulled him off of him.

The Hunter Household

Jack invited the shadows and Kyria over to a sleepover. They ate snacks and watched Christmas movies together until they got tired. "Everyone knows that The Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Halloween movie than a Christmas movie." Alana said. "It's a mix of both." Kyria said. "It's more of a Halloween movie because that's the most you see in the film." Isaiah said. Everyone proceeds to bicker about controversial things except for Lizi. Jack sees Lizi contemplating and sits next to her. "You alright?" Jack asked. "Yea. I'm just thinking about.. a lot." Lizi said. "Ok well... Do you mind telling me what that was about back there?" Jack asked. "I do I.. honestly don't wanna talk about it." Lizi said. Jack looked very concerned. Lizi saw his face showing he was concerned and sighed.

Lizi's Backstory

"When I was born I had a decent childhood. I had Friends. I had a good life. Until I turned 4. My house got infiltrated by a gang of fire demons. There was nothing we could do. So my dad went as bait. My dad gave me this necklace. This was his necklace." Lizi said as she tried her hardest not to cry. The tears were coming and her voice was breaking. "His last words were promising me that I would never forget him and to live a long life with my brother. My father sacrificed himself for my safety, my mom's safety, and my brother's safety. He walked out to surrender but got burned to a crisp along with the rest of the house." Lizi said crying. Jack felt very bad for Lizi. "I never screamed so loud and hard in my life. After that day, I was searching for my friends for comfort. They did not show up. Only for me to find out that they're dead in the hands of fire users. I despise them." Lizi said.

End of backstory

"Not a day goes by when I don't feel my dad's presence. He had the best magic. Better than mine. Now I'm never gonna get to see it again." Lizi said as she burst into tears. Jack hugged Lizi to try and comfort her. Lizi gripped onto Jack as she was sobbing. Jack seems to have a good connection with anyone he meets. "I'm sure he would be proud of the way you are now." Jack said. Lizi releases Jack and looks at him. "You're a really good friend." Lizi said. "Thank you. Which is it?" Jack asked. "What?" Lizi asked confused. "Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie?" Jack asked. "Here we go." Alana said. "Isn't it a mix of both?" Lizi asked. "I done told you." Jack and Kyria said in unison. "85 percent of the content is Halloween based." Isaiah said. "No, because they air on TV during both times." Jack said.

Christmas

The day started with Jack looking out the window. The snow was glorious as if the ground itself was white. Jack walked to school because of the beautiful snow. The snow-covered 90% of the ground. The white sky was clear as if you could see a glimpse of what was up above. Jack stops at the mall to go Christmas shopping for his friends and his girlfriend. The mall was decorated to the brim with Christmas lights.

Hevania Magic Academy (Lunch)
4th period

"Merry Christmas." Jack said. "There is no way you came here in a Santa hat just to say that." Lizi said. "I GOT PRESENTS!! Only one tho. For y'all at least. Matching bracelets for the 4 of us." Jack said. "Oh, these look nice." Isaiah said. "It even has our initials on it so we know whose is whose." Lizi said. "Where did you get these?" Alana asked. "The jewelry store. In the mall. That we always go to." Jack said. "They're hand-me-downs anyways." Peyton said. "For $50?!" Jack said internally. "Jack." Kyria said jumping to him for a hug. "Hey." Jack said. Kyria gave him a gift. Jack looked playfully confused and unwrapped it. "Matching rings." Jack and Kyria said. "This is so nice. Thank you. While I got to you here, prepare yourself finger for this." Jack said as he pulled out his gift for Kyria. "A Darry ring?!" Kyria said very happily. "Yeah." Jack said. "Don't you only get those once in your life?" Alana asked. "Yup." Jack said. "Not to mention it's very expensive. How did you get that money?" Isaiah asked. "Summer jobs do not pay low." Jack said. Jack and Kyria hugged and kissed. "I love you." Kyria said. "I love you too." Jack said.

The holiday season has come and gone, and it was a great time for everyone. But at this point, Jack is about to reach a big milestone.
