Hello there, everyone! This is my first-ever attempt at both writing fanfiction and writing in general. I have always been a manga fan, and ever since I was young, I dreamed of making one a reality but could never really make it to fruition because of life happenings. I've always had some sort of image of integrating my OCs within a canon story of the anime I loved, and once I read Chainsaw Man, I somehow felt that it was the perfect type of story to start writing stories with. The world, the characters, and the concept of devils felt equally as grounded as it was surreal, I can very well say that Fujimoto has struck lightning in a bottle with this one, and I, too, can't even wait to write my own characters in it. Of course, again, this is my first time actually writing a story, so I understand that whatever I write will never reach his level, so I'd really appreciate any forms of suggestions and criticism thrown my way, no matter how small it may be. Either way, I hope you enjoy the journey that comes with this story!
Something that needs to be said, though, is that while this fanfiction was based on Chainsaw Man, I have also written this fict with consideration for fans who have forgotten or missed any important aspects of Chainsawman. That includes the lore, the characters, and the concepts as stated within the canon, so if you think you are not too well-versed in Chainsaw Man or even not a fan of it, do not worry; there will be refreshers of things you forget and not understand.
However, I have mentioned this in the description, but consider this as a final warning before proceeding.

- SPOILER WARNING on Chainsawman Part I and potentially Part II. While this fict was conceived when I finished reading Part I, several concepts introduced within this story also coincidentally share similar concepts with Part II, so please keep that in mind if you are a fan who does not want to be spoiled for Part II.
- This fanfict is written as a prequel to the canon, 3 years in the past, featuring mostly original characters as part of the main cast. Canon characters do make appearances every now and then, prominently Aki and Himeno, as this fict begins just before the start of a story featured in Chainsaw Man's light novel, Buddy Stories, so please keep that in mind as well.
- This fict's phasing will be on the slower side, with not much emphasis on action and parts that do are pretty brief and short.
- Features Japanese suffixes for character nicknames based on the character's relationships with each other. That includes things such as -chan, -kun, -san for acquaintances and -sensei, -shisou for those whom the characters considers as having a respectable role such as mentors and doctors.
