Just as I was in the midst of an acting scene, which involved conversing with another side character, the lights suddenly cut out. Chaos erupted in the studio as everyone scrambled to figure out who would grab a flashlight and who would activate the backup generator. I felt hands wrap around my waist suddenly, causing me to jump almost out of my skin. But as I heard the person's whimpers, I realized it was Blake. Among our crew, Blue was always the most terrified of darkness.

"Blue, everything's fine. It's just a power outage," Danny's voice suddenly broke through the commotion from behind, causing both Blake and me to startle.

"Fuck! Dan, you piece of-hmph-don't scare us like that!" Blake shouted, muffling the last curse word. It wasn't like him to swear like that, but given the situation, I wasn't surprised.

"Sorry, sorry!" Dream's laughter echoed lightly through the darkness. I heard a soft thud, likely a light punch. "Okay, sorry!" he snickered, his apology laced with amusement.

I sighed, my thoughts racing. While we weren't near any objects that could trip us, I couldn't shake the concern about navigating our way down from the stage. It wasn't a high stage, but the risk of spraining an ankle wasn't ideal. If we even wanted to get off the stage, that is.

"So what do we do now? Wait for the others to turn some fricking lights on or??" I asked, feeling a little irritated. I had been doing so well, and now my shot had to be ruined!

"I don't know... also, why do we have to manually turn on the backup generator? Shouldn't it turn on automatically when the main one goes out?" Dream asked a very good question.

I wanted to give him a 'really?' look, but in the pitch-black darkness, it would be pointless. "Danny, you know exactly why..."

"Right... Jasmine..."

I would have explained the reason, but it would have taken too long. To summarize: it was because of Jasmine and her money obsession. Or in other words - She hated spending money on unimportant stuff. Generators are important, though!!!!

Just then, the lights flickered back on, slightly blinding me. Someone must have gone into the generator room while we were talking. I glanced behind me to where Blue and Dream were standing. They seemed relieved to be able to see again.

"Alright, guys, take a thirty-minute break... we'll need to reboot every single computer," the director announced as he walked towards the PC technicians.

I stretched a little, feeling my bones popping. That was satisfying to say the least. "Wanna grab some coffee guys?" I asked my friends who agreed.

While walking towards the coffee machine, I couldn't shake off the nagging thought about why the main generator had shut down. It shouldn't have happened, especially since one of the mechanics had checked it yesterday (or so they told me). Unless they didn't check it correctly or purposely messed it up. Ah well, it wasn't my job to point fingers. I should just enjoy my break!

This past week had been strange for me. Ever since I walked through that ominous alley... something had felt off. Every morning, I woke up with a headache (though it could just be from stress), and I found myself seeing those weird silhouettes more often than usual. Sometimes, I could even make out their features clearly. I kept telling myself that I was just imagining things, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to believe that.
