I jolted awake to the sound of someone shouting my name in the living room. If you can guess who it is, I'll give you a medal.

Yes, it was Error...and it was probably because of my cat........

Groaning, I sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. "What time is it...?" I wondered my voice barely a whisper. I lazily reached for my phone and squinted at the screen: 6:10 AM. Just 20 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. With a heavy sigh, I turned off the alarm and yawned, stretching my arms above my head.

If this turns into a tradition (being woken up by shouts and screams) I swear I'm kicking his ass out of my damn apartment.

I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stood up. Might as well get ready.. I shuffled to the wardrobe and pulled it open, scanning for something to wear. My hand landed on an oversized black hoodie and a pair of grey jeans. Today I felt like dressing up as those emo kids.... don't ask why, I just did.

I decided to grab a pair of colourful socks...just to add a bit of a twist. A bizarre look on my part? I don't know how to word it-

After slipping into the hoodie, jeans, and colourful socks, I quickly walked to the door and left my bedroom without bothering to close it. As I headed towards the living room, a sense of déjà vu hit me. It was probably from that morning Oreo had torn Error's jacket. I snorted to myself, recalling his devastated expression. It was absolutely priceless.

As soon as I entered the living room, Error stormed over. "Get your dumb cat away from my stuff! I don't want a repeat of last time!" he shouted while pointing at the couch. There lay Oreo, comfortably sprawled on a neatly placed blanket. Wait- no, it's a quilt. Where did that come from? It's definitely not mine..

"Uh... is that yours?" I asked, catching a desperate look from Error.

"YES! GET YOUR CAT OFF MY QUILT!" he shouted. He moved behind me and started pushing me towards Oreo.

"Woah! Don't push me!" I exclaimed, turning around to face him. He stopped pushing me right after. "I'll get him off, so chill," I said, rolling my eyes. I turned back towards Oreo and walked over to him. I gently patted his furry head, attempting to distract him so I could lift him. Instead, as soon as I tried lifting him up, he hissed at me. "....huh..."

"What?"

"I can't move him. Your quilt is his now," I admitted, lifting my hands in surrender.

The demon's eyes widened in disbelief, which prompted a slight smirk to creep onto my face.

"What... the fuck did you just say?"

"It's his now," I replied casually, shrugging as I watched Error process the news.

Error stared into my soul before he approached Oreo, attempting to lift him off his 'precious' quilt. Oreo responded with a hiss and even scratched his bony hand. But Error didn't seem bothered; instead, he succeeded in moving my baby off his belongings and quickly folded the quilt.

As soon as Oreo noticed he had been moved, he grumpily meowed and jumped off the couch and went somewhere to hide.

"See? You could've done it without my help." Crossing my arms, I leaned against the wall, watching Error fold the quilt with exaggerated care. "Didn't have to wake me up, now did ya?" I added, raising an eyebrow as I surveyed his frustrated expression.

"...hm... I guess." Error suddenly smirked, folding his arms across his chest with the quilt still in his hands. He leaned back slightly as if savouring the moment. "You probably wouldn't have put on that ridiculous outfit, would ya?"
